About the adventure
Hoard of the Dragon Queen is a module that will take players on a classic quest attempting to discover the plots and motives of an insidious cult that plagues the lands. The campaign is designed to allow players to progress the story at their own pace, partake in numerous quests outside of the main plot, and find various ways to grow stronger. Unlike many campaigns, this campaign is quite beginner friendly and begins and level 1 going to about level 8 where a second part may begin depending upon player actions. If you love plots with mystery, magic, cults, and dragons, this is the campaign for you!

About me
Hello there! I've been a DM (D&D 5e) for about 3 years now and have covered a wide variety of long-running campaigns and one-shots both online and in-person. I have a passion for writing new stories and love incorporating other peoples' ideas into them. I am familiar with playing with brand new players as well as experienced folks. My favorite campaigns to run are Hoard of the Dragon Queen/Rise of Tiamat and Curse of Strahd but I'm always open to try new ones or test out homebrew campaigns.

Creating your character
We will go over character creation during a session 0. Typically I prefer standard array for stats and starting level will be 1. D&D 5e and the 2024 players handbooks may be used for this.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will only need to be able to use discord, roll20, and have a working microphone in order to participate.
What Luke brings to the table
I prefer giving players time to interact with each other, NPCs, and the world around them. While I enjoy combat, I also enjoy roleplay and giving depth to both the neutral characters and villains in my story. I love to adapt to new story scenarios and am open to suggestions from players as well.

How Luke creates a safe table
Players can expect a wide array of characters to interact with as well as a large world to explore. Combat can be very intense but there are almost always opportunities and ways to avoid combat.
