About the adventure

The Lost Frontier is a harsh enough place for folk to get by. You had to go and heap a whole lotta problems on top of it. Now you're an outlaw, in truth or in accusation; either way, there's a bounty on your head, and a stolen horse underneath you to keep ahead of the law. It's a weird world out there. If the bandits don't get you, it may just be the cassowaries that broke loose from the Gibbert's farm last spring... or those things they say wander around the wastes north of Sickwater at night. Of course, those are just old wives' tales, and anyway, that's only supposed to be on the night of the new moon. Tonight she's full... A horror-western in the Mörk Borg vein, rules light and easy to learn. Grab your gun and hat, it's time to adventure.

About me

Howdy! My games tend towards the sandbox, do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law and all that. I'm a big believer in the power of narrative. The best stories are always about ideas more than plots. That's not to say that it's all arthouse allegory, but the plot should be about more than a list of bad guys to thwart and loot to steal. (Except, of course, when that's the story being told. Context is king.) If you show up for my games expect a certain amount of history, satire, and the odd pop culture reference in the mix. I tend towards horror and comedy, as I find they complement each other well, but again, depends on the game. I also offer personalized one-shots for players that miss a game- you aren't on auto-follow, you're off doing things. Need to miss a game? Don't worry, I got you. (DISCLAIMER: In D&D based games, this may involve trips to Ravenloft, play at your own risk. Scheduling difficulties may interfere with this offer, but my schedule is pretty flexible.) Bigtime into Butlerian theology- "Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of a human mind." No AI-generated anything 'round these parts. Years of Blood Bowl have turned me against elfs. Play at your own risk. You can call me "Jeremy" if you really need to.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters can be made before session, with or without me, or hell, just use the danged random generator. I'm flexible, just so long as it don't draw from gametime.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Discord and an account on the Forge so you can access the Foundry... although that's pretty optional, we don't muck about with battlemaps 'round these parts.

What Diamond J brings to the table

The Rule of Cool don't matter so much with a system like this; it's built for that kind o' ride. I'll do voices fer yeh, best as I can, at least. Been told I'm good at 'em, people like 'em, it's a skill.

Safety

How Diamond J creates a safe table

Players may communicate any concerns they have with me any way they feel comfortable. This is a horror game, but there is never any intent to make someone actually uncomfortable.
