About the adventure

Level 3 start | 2014 D&D 5e rules Journey into Ambria's legendary Bellowing Wilds in this comedy-tragedy D&D adventure! Experience the same level of chaos and (near-)impossible challenges found in Dingo Doodles' beloved YouTube animated series, Fool's Gold. Face down ancient technology and cosmic threats while you do your best to save Ambria from itself. Or... maybe you'll be the biggest threat to it. ⚠️ Spoiler Warning: This campaign contains major Fool's Gold plot spoilers. Please watch the YouTube series beforehand if you care about spoilers! Early sessions can minimize spoilers if you're catching up. Important: I'm a transfem GM with a masculine voice. This game is fully LGBTQ+ friendly and will avoid out-of-game (and many forms of in-game) discrimination.

About me

Hi! I'm Valkyrie (She/Her). I'm a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community (specifically the T and the L, and other aspects within the '+'), so respect and accessibility are a big deal in my games. With over 5 years in D&D and recent explorations into various other TTRPGs, I do my best to keep you on your toes but invested in the world around you. Your character is the key to perfecting my games. My main TTRPG systems (in order of experience): - D&D 5e - Monsterhearts 2 - Call of Cthulhu 7e - Avatar Legends - Fate Core - Paranoia (Red Clearance Edition) - And More! Especially one-shot systems that don't quite make it to the list. Also, if you're looking to commission custom campaigns or one-shots, reach out to me! I'll gladly tailor a game to your liking.

Character creation

Creating your character

We'll discuss in Session 0! Generally I prefer for us to roll stats. You'll have some extra player options unique to this setting, so make sure you check those out. Any official content is fine and I'm open to discussing homebrew.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Have a Discord account. Make sure your mic/headset are working. Set up push-to-talk if you have any background noise. And join the Discord server! Ensure that you have a Roll20 account also.

What Valkyrie brings to the table

I respect your time. I start on time and rarely cancel. Your character's not a stat block. They're who you want them to be in the world. I'm always around to communicate with and take safety seriously for my players. And I run a strictly inclusive table where everyone is welcome. My style of DMing for this campaign is still my own, but doing my best to breath life into the truths of Ambria and merge aspects of Felix's iconic DM style into the campaign as well.

Homebrew rules

These will be covered more in the Discord and in Session 0, as players have a say and it varies game to game.

Safety

How Valkyrie creates a safe table

You'll be free to step out from the game if you find yourself in need of doing so. You can put an X in the chat to stop any scene, no questions asked. And we'll use Lines and Veils to determine what is not okay to include in the game. We are a group of adults and I intend to approach difficult topics, but I want to ensure that nobody feels they have to be uncomfortable in a way that isn't fun for them.
