About the adventure

This is how Gen X learned to play. Tables for attack rolls and saving throws, 10 to -10 armor classes, percentile rolls for high strength, class and level limits for non-humans. It didn't need to make sense to be fun. A lot of the old modules have been updated for newer editions, so you may have already played some of these. But does a different system make for a different experience? A great way to find out for sure is to sign up and play!

About me

I got the red box basic set for Christmas in 1981 and I've been gaming ever since. I'm comfortable running any edition except 4th, and also the Fantasy Flight Star Wars, Genesys, and, and L5R systems.

Character creation

Creating your character

Pregenerated characters will be provided for each game. These will be the pregenerated characters printed with the module, if any, plus a few more just to make sure there's a good selection. If you have a character in another AD&D game that I run that's in the right level range, that character can be used too.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

I use Discord and Roll20 for games. I prefer cameras on in Discord, but it's not required. I do require microphones though.

What Mark brings to the table

At these games, I'll provide a comfortable setting that encourages where questions are welcome and engagement is encouraged. No previous knowledge of the rules is required. The one rule I follow before all others is that everyone should be having fun. As long as that's true, then I'm flexible on pretty much everthing else.

Homebrew rules

There are a few rules in AD&D that I don't utilize. Mostly things like weapon speed, and hit adjustments vs armor.

Safety

How Mark creates a safe table

I use Roll20's safety deck and have an open door policy. I also like to debrief at the end of a session to make sure everyone had fun.
