About the adventure
The city of Waterdeep is a grand city on the Sword Coast. The metropolis has folk ranging from great lords and merchants, to simple beggars and farmers on the outskirts. A fortune of gold lies hidden in the city, just waiting to be found by those wise, cunning, and brave enough to find it. Step cautiously though. There are allies aplenty to be found, but many others seek the gold too, and won't hesitate to get rid of anyone in their way. You start off in the Yawning Portal, having a drink, unaware that soon, the adventure of a lifetime is about to begin...

About me
I have loved DND since I first started playing some years ago. I've been a player for a long time, and have DM'ed off and on. I love all the stories we can tell with DND, and the cooperative story telling DND offers is amazing to me. In spare time I cuddle with my adorable kitty, and play Baldur's Gate. My day job is the gloriously dull work of retail.

Creating your character
Any and all races and class material from Players handbook, Xanathar's, Tasha's, Humblewood, Van Richten, and Fizban is acceptable. We will be starting level 1 and building characters on roll20. Starting stats will be with the enhanced array of 17, 15, 13, 12, 10 and 8. You can add a +1 and +2 to any of those.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need an account on discord and roll20 and a working mic.
What Dylan brings to the table
I set out to give my players a great time and agency to do as their character would wish. Above all, your choices matter the most to me. While not the best at voices I try to come up with new ones swiftly. On top of that, I always try to have music ready to set the mood. In combat I let the dice fall where they may but if you have a cool idea you want to use, I say go for it, let's try it!
Homebrew rules

Safety
How Dylan creates a safe table
During session zero we will discuss triggers for the party. They can be brought up publicly, or if nervous can be sent to me privately. All veils and lines will be up for discussion, and after any session if a player wants to talk to me about anything that bothered them they are welcome to do so. During a session if anything is bothering a player for any reason, doesn't need to be explained, simply tell me and I will stop doing that and we will take a break so we can fix it.
