About the adventure
The setting of this campaign and its premise are entirely homebrew! This game is open to everyone of all skills levels! I am adept at teaching new players especially, having worked with dozens of them over the years. In this campaign you'll explore an unmapped island full of dangers and lost secrets. Premise of the campaign: On the continent of Valdyrra, two nations- Thrymmar in the North, and Lythene in the South- are locked in a cold war that is quickly warming up. Nearly a century ago, an island rose from the sea off the northern coast of Thrymmar. The island, now named the Ur-Vael, has been left largely unmapped thanks to the incredibly hostile flora and fauna, and the odd effects on magic the air of the island seems to cause. From the coastline of the island, a large tower at its center can be seen, prompting many questions about what could be there. The Adventurers League, a prestigous institution and nuetral entity not beholden to either nations, had laid its claim upon the Ur-Vael, preventing non-affiliated groups from accessing the island. Now, with the war with Lythene heating up, Thrymmar has been applying pressure to the Adventurers League. They threaten the claim the Adventurers League have upon the island, and have threatened to send men in force to conquer the island. Thrymmar believes, or hopes something of importance may rest in the tower at the center of the island that may give Thrymmar an upper hand in the war. The Adventurers League in response to these threats, has opened their doors for the first time ever to the general masses. They have issued a call to all able bodied peoples, to join the League and explore Ur-Vael.

About me
I first started playing Dungeons and Dragons almost 10 years ago now, when I was 11. At the time I had no idea what I was getting into, but over the years I have fallen in love with this wonderful game, and I wish to share my passion and everything I have learned over the years with you! I generally only run homebrew campaigns set within already established D&D worlds- my favorite being Eberron, but on occasion I will also make entirely new worlds! I use Foundry for running my games, Inkarnate to make my maps, and Discord for calls and music! I look forward to playing with you!

Creating your character
We will discuss your character privately, as well as in call on Discord, building them on DndBeyond and importing them to the Foundry server I operate! Homebrew is allowed- homebrewed races and classes all. If you really put a lot of work into your characters backstory and really flesh them out, you will be provided a homebrew magic items of at most rare level that is flavored about your backstory! Backstory will also influence your starting level- minimum you can get is level 2, with max being level 3. More elbow grease put into the character = better start!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All my players will need Discord for calls and messaging, a stable internet connection, and a laptop for use of the Foundry server. Those are the base and only requirements tech wise! Players will have to do some light reading to familiarize themselves with the setting, but other than that, just come ready to have fun!
What Evelyn brings to the table
What i provide on Discord is many things! A fully dedicated server with channels for NPCs met, a journal for players to keep notes, channels containing maps and history of the setting. For DndBeyond my players will get access to my wide array of purchased sources, allowing them vast creative freedom with creating a character. I hand make every map we will play on in Inkarnate. I operate a dedicated Foundry server with over forty modules to boost the gameplay. I do voices, play ambient music and record every session and upload them to a private youtube channel only accessible to the group so you can go back and rewatch highlights of sessions!! If any of my players desire to do something that the others may pass up on doing or is a side thing specifically for their own character, I do provide one on one rp sessions so they don't miss anything! I will NEVER use AI for any part of my campaign. Not for NPC art, not for writing or anything at all. It has no place in my games, and I expect the same from my players.
Homebrew rules
Drinking health potions are a bonus action! You don't need to keep track of spell components unless it has a gold cost. You don't need to track ammunition unless specified.

Safety
How Evelyn creates a safe table
I am very open with my players about what will arise in the campaign, and before the campaign even starts, we will go over a Lines and Veils document so I have a clear understanding of what to avoid! Player safety is my priority, so players are free to speak up and say something at any time if they feel uncomfortable for any reason. I will never shut anyone down. My campaigns feature LGBTQ+ characters, and my table is open to all! I tolerate zero bigotry and hate from player to other players.
