About the adventure
A wacky golden age of comics style adventure where a group of powerful super villains has their base turned against them. You will be playing a heavyhitter within the Dread Brigade. One of the big bads who gets to sit at the big table while the goons and low-level villains take your marching orders. After a typical blue sky pitch meeting with your leader Lexana Luthrean you leave the conference room to find your normally bustling Headquarters to be empty and quiet. Your base was built with all of the newest evil technology and weapons to withstand even a direct attack from those meddling do-gooders The Lords of the Lawful. It's filled to the brim with goons, monsters and horrific scientific experiments. So it would not be ideal if the base's defenses suddenly turned against you. Can you escape with your lives and dignity in tact or will you be a footnote in the Dread Brigades lost but not forgotten memorial? LGBTQ+ friendly and open to new players(although level 10 can be a bit daunting for unfamiliar players.) What I need from yall on game day: -We will be playing on roll 20 so have an account ready -no character restrictions feel free to use anything available on dnd beyond or if you have access to 3rd party content go nuts -Bring a golden age comics inspired "evil" character with a generally lighthearted goofy goal. I am looking for silly over the top villains not dark brooding monsters. IE i want to turn everyone into dinosaurs or take over the greater new york tristate area. NOT! commit a global genocide against xyz or mind control people to fulfill my desires.

About me
Hey yall! Im Greg I am a rule of cool forward Game Master with going on 7 years of experience in DND pathfinder and shadowrun. I love to create worlds centered around my players that I can fill with fun exciting locations vile villians and wacky over the top npcs with a broad range of voices and backgrounds for them to interact with. Although I pride myself on not telling my players flat out no I do have a couple of basic ground rules at my tables I expect everyone to follow. 1 fantasy racism may often exist in these worlds as a means of narrative and world building but player characters will not hold blanket prejudice against any races creeds or colors. real or fictional. a Romeo and juliet style feud between small local groups of folks is acceptable. 2 there will be no mention of sexual assault or manipulation in my games if you wanna use a spell to get someone to sleep with you there are plenty of other game masters for you but I am not one of them. 3 no lone wolves. If you wanna be a dark and broody rogue or a warlock with a chip on there shoulder great but they have to be willing to work and communicate with the rest of the party. This is a communal story telling game and im not going to prioritize one players fun over the rest. Can't wait to play with you all soon!

Creating your character
Create a level 10 character and feel free to roll your stats (were all adults if you cheat i dont really care but we will all immediately know and it will probably be super awkward for you.) use whatever 1st or 3rd party content youd like but if its not in the PHB youd better understand it well enough to play it. I will be asking everyone at the beginning of the session to introduce there characters so have a physical description and explanation of there vibe/goals ready. Also one comically evil plan to pitch at a pitch meeting. stealing the Taj Mahal, Freezing the pacific ocean etc. I find it easiest to make your character in dndbeyond as theres an extension that will make your rolls show up in the roll20 VTT but if your confident you can do it elsewhere and use the UI for roll20 for rolls more power to you. also feel free to take one rare magic item that thematically fits your build.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Make sure you have at the least a Roll20 account and if your using dndbeyond make sure your sheet is ready before the game so i can bring it into my campaign. also if your using dndbeyond download the beyond20 extension so your rolls show up in the VTT.
What Gregory Moskowitz brings to the table
I am first and foremost a rule of cool dm so dont be afraid to get weird and wild with it. I also will be introducing a lot of goofy low level villain npcs that i do not expect you to respect or interact with that will have stupid powers and funny voices/shticks. there will be several combat encounters without an opportunity to rest.
Homebrew rules
Not really a rule but especially if your playing a spellcaster please be respectful of everyone elses time and plan your turns accordingly in combat. If you take significantly more time then the rest of the party or dont have a general idea of what your going to do i may ask you to delay your turn to keep pacing. yall are paying to be here noone wants to spend 10 minutes listening to you debate between magic missile and scorching ray.

How Gregory Moskowitz creates a safe table
I am a big fan of lines and veils. Ill ask all of the players before the session if they have anything they do not want to see or hear in the session and keep that list up during the game. That said you cant always know ahead of time if something rubs you the wrong way so feel free to either message me privately(ill be keeping that up during the session as well) or just raise your hand and i will pause the game to address your concern.
