About the adventure
The campaign will unfold over a series of Podraces across the Hutt controlled space of the galaxy! From the dreaded swamps of Nal Hutta to the vile dens of Nar Shaddaa and the desert world of Klatooine this circuit of races will include a variety of environments and hazards to race through as you make your way to the top of the Podracing rankings! Whether you're a racer or an engineer or gambler there are multiple avenues for hauling in credits during every adventure! But be warned, with high earnings comes a lot of unwanted attention from rivals and Hutts vying for influence over the races! Upgrade your pod throughout the circuit using your hard won prize credits to enhance your pod or taking out loans from Hutts, crime lords, and bookies for premium enhancements and modifications! Do you have what it takes to finish the races, claim the largest prizes, and become a Podracing legend? There's only one way to find out... Now THIS is Podracing!!

About me
Hi, my name is Beto and I'm your new favorite game master, probably. I've been runnining games for 12 years and I'm still learning and growing from each session that I sit down to play! I have two goals at the table, everyone has fun and everyone contributes to that fun. It's my understanding that the players at the table and their choices and expression are the source of all of the wonderful memories and stories that come from these games. Creating your character
Players will create standard characters using the Edge of the Empire, Age of Rebellion, and Force & Destiny rules and career options. We will be using Obligation as our narrative statistic for the game rather than Duty. Morality will still be an options for Force users. More details for these rules will be included in the discord server. An additional 100 XP will be available after character creation to further enhance your characters. In addition, instead of standard starting gear and credits, player will each be given 8,000 Credits to construct their own custom Podracers to start - additional credits and parts are available for those willing to take on debts to cover the costs. However, be warned, overdue debts can be collected off and on the track.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have a Discord account available for the voice chat of the game. I will appear on video but it is not required by players. A roll20 account will be beneficial as a plain and undetailed map may be used for referencing positions of racers. Sheets for characters and Podracers, as well as all rolls, will be done through RPGsessions.
What Rob E.G. brings to the table
This game will provide the opportunity to create your own pilot and Podracer to compete in an exciting and dangerous racing circuit that spans many different environments. A simple but engaging story will follow the events of the circuit to help build cohesion among sessions. However, the focus will be on developing the Podracers and conducting the races. Despite this focus, there will still be plenty of attention dedicated to the wonderful characters and weirdness that makes the Star Wars universe unique and rewarding to play in. The discord page hosts a number of channels dedicated to facilitating shopping, negotiations, repairs and modifications! Additionally, handouts for racing and piloting Actions and Maneuvers will be made available as well!
Homebrew rules
Vehicle encounters in the Star Wars rpg are exciting and competitive! The flow of a Podrace and reach peaks unseen anywhere else in the universe. To account for these exciting events and the variety of locations of the races, I will be providing various options for how Successes, Advantages, and Triumph results can be spent. Additionally, to represent the risks and dangers of Podracing and the environments I will also be proving options for how Failures, Threats, and Despairs may be spent!
