About the adventure

Far to the south lies Chult—a steaming, dinosaur-haunted jungle where maps rot, compasses lie, and the dead don’t stay buried. Recently, something in that green hell has awakened a death curse: the souls of the departed are being devoured, and those once resurrected are withering away, day by day. No priest, no spell, no miracle can stop it. The only clues point to Chult’s untamed interior… and a name whispered in fearful tones: the Tomb of the Nine Gods. Your journey begins in the chaotic, colorful port of Nyanzaru, where merchants bet on dinosaur races and guides sell half-true maps to fools with coin. From there, you’ll plunge into trackless jungle: hacking through choking vines, braving ancient ruins, bargaining with strange spirits, and facing undead legions marching under a blazing, uncaring sun. Every hex is a risk. Food, water, disease, and hostile wildlife are as deadly as any blade. At the heart of Chult, something vast and malevolent is feeding on souls. To stop it, you’ll have to outwit cruel trickster gods, survive brutal traps, and descend into a dungeon built to kill heroes, not reward them. This is an adventure of desperate choices, grim danger, and hard-won triumph—where every step through the jungle could be your last, and only the bold have any hope of coming back alive.

About me

Forever DM for almost 6 years. Prefers rules as written but will always go with the Rule of Cool first! Uses Foundry VTT and Roll20. I try not to let sessions run more 3-4 hours, personally experience is people check out around then lol.

What Wayne brings to the table

In my games, the math runs in the background so you can stay in character. I run on a fully-automated VTT setup with macros, effects, and animations doing the heavy lifting—attack rolls, saves, conditions, lighting, and status tracking are all handled for you. Spells flare, steel clashes, and monsters explode in showers of particle effects so combat feels like a cinematic moment, not a spreadsheet. Because the system is so automated, we can focus on story, character choices, and roleplay instead of hunting through rulebooks or checking modifiers every roll. I’ll handle the tech and timing; you bring your character’s voice, goals, and bad decisions. What to expect at the table: - Streamlined combat: Most rolls and conditions are automated, keeping the pace fast and tactical. - Immersive visuals: A custom suite of VFX and animations for spells, abilities, and environments. - More roleplay time: Less rules-chatter, more in-character conversations, tension, and drama. - Supportive GMing: I’ll guide newer players through the tools so everyone feels comfortable. If you want a game where the rules work for you in the background and the spotlight stays on the story, this is the table I’m running.
