About the adventure
Welcome to the world of Evaryn. As the Material Plane still irradiates the energy of creation, the elven Empire of Dawn conquers all. Every sentient creature with no fae ancestry unlucky enough to be born in their accursed lands is fated for a life of pain and misery. Still, even in the most broken of times, even between the callous and the lost, hope grows. You are that hope. Join me, adventurers, as only you can build the rebellion that will save this wretched world and build a better future for all. Hi everyone! Since this is my first paid game, I wanted to pull out all the stops. I’ve loaded the game with premium Foundry modules to automate everything from time tracking and inventory to relationships, hunting, and cooking. I’ve also included high-quality third-party maps and tokens. Think of it as almost a CRPG, but with the freedom of a tabletop game. Because the automation handles the heavy lifting (and because I run a really roleplay-heavy game), this table is super beginner-friendly. With all that said, I hope you all enjoy the Age of Dispair!

Creating your character
We'll kick things off with a free Session Zero dedicated entirely to character creation! This is your chance to ask me anything about the world's setting and tone. You'll start the game at Level 1, and I'm allowing content from every official 5e and 5.5 sourcebook (though character concepts will require my final approval). We'll also roll for your starting stats right there in the session

What Henry brings to the table
My GMing style is very character-focused. I love seeing your characters interact with the world and shape the story around them—so be warned, I will use details from your backstory eventually! I generally prioritize roleplay and exploration, with combat happening as a consequence of the story rather than just for sport (though after 10 years of playing 5e I had to figure out how to balance a fight eventually). I also majored in history, so you can expect plenty of historical inspiration woven into the world. Expect music, voices, the whole thing!

How Henry creates a safe table
The setting has some serious grimdark vibes (even if it's more sword and sorcery), so safety is a priority. Sexual content is strictly 'fade-to-black' and will only happen if everyone on the table is confortable with it. I have safety tools built directly into Foundry so you can contact me discreetly if you’re ever uncomfortable, and I’ll provide a checklist of triggers before we start. I want to create a safe environment where everyone can have fun.
