About the adventure

Your agency received a letter in the postal, innocent enough on its own, from a Mrs. Martinez. “My husband is missing,” the letter begins. At first, it reads like a hundred other cases: anxious handwriting, a small-town address, a request for discretion. But something about this is wrong. Then you see the back, with words scrawled in blood: “HELP ME. I AM NEXT.” Every bone in your body is telling you to stay away… but that’s just not how these things go. This Chronicle, set in 1960’s Colorado, is your opportunity to solve a terrifying mystery. You will be thrown into an eerie town where everyone is a suspect, and you can’t shake off that feeling of being watched. There will be action, chases, investigations, and, most importantly, the dread of getting in too deep where you don’t belong. Follow the trail carefully. And whatever you do, don’t trust anyone. This game is great for both experienced and new players. Come hungry for a thrill.

Character creation

Creating your character

Come to the first session with a character built. If you need help, feel free to message me, and I can walk you through creation. Theme - Small-Town Detectives Time - 1960s System - Chronicles of Darkness Edition - First Edition preferred, but I can work with 2nd. I will review your character before our first session to make sure its good to go!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Main video/voice channel will be through Discord. Video is not required. Roll20 will be the main VTT, so make sure you have an account. Character Sheets can be made in Roll20 or via PDF. If you need any books or the charactersheet, message me!

What Kevin brings to the table

I run a polished game with clear visuals, NPC voices, a fun mystery, gritty combat, and room for creativity. Maps & Visuals: Fully prepared maps, custom character tokens, and useful visual aids. Atmosphere: Ambient background music via Discord and expressive narration. Occasional character voices to enhance scenes. Combat & Rules: Sometimes theater of the mind, sometimes tactical, map-based combat that values positioning and cooperative strategy. I embrace the Rule of Cool when it makes the story awesome. If you want to do something crazy, you can if you sell it right. Player Freedom: This chronicle has a clear storyline, but players can improvise and shape how events unfold. I adapt to your choices and support creative problem-solving. Overall, expect an immersive, flexible, and player-focused experience.

Safety

How Kevin creates a safe table

In my Discord, you will find a channel for my Lines and Veils. Please go over them and keep those rules in mind. I will remind everyone of the boundaries shortly before we begin the session. Feel free to step away from the game if you need to. Roleplaying can be taxing to some, and I support short breaks when needed. If you do not feel comfortable or need to contact me discreetly, please feel free to send me a direct message during or after the game.
