About the adventure
WHAT THIS IS A drop-in D&D play-by-post area where players write their actions and interact with the world at their own pace. Think: - relaxed, continuous storytelling - everyone contributing as they go - dice rolled only when needed - the plot occasionally screaming for mercy HOW IT WORKS Post when you can—minutes, hours, days between replies are all fine I guide the world and keep things moving The environment reacts, evolves, and sometimes judges you Your choices matter; the world remembers (usually) WHO CAN JOIN - Newbies, veterans, and feral gremlins who only know how to shout “I roll persuasion!” - Anyone in my campaigns gets free access to the PBP world as a bonus - Other players can join for 7€ every week, the week leading up to the adventure is considered a free trial and look around. WHAT YOU NEED A character (quick sheet or full build, either works) Basic manners A willingness to type your chaos into existence WORLD FEATURES This realm is stuffed with NPCs—shopkeepers, mages, weird little blob creatures, sneaky nobles, grumpy guards, troubled teens, cursed librarians, and whatever else Mellodie accidentally invented at 3am. Players are free to: - chat with NPCs - befriend them - annoy them - romance them (at your own peril) - team up for quests - uncover secrets - break their hearts with poor life choices NPCs will remember, respond, and develop over time. WHY JOIN Because sometimes you just wanna write a dramatic monologue while eating snacks, and this is a judgment-free zone for exactly that.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey adventurers, welcome to the chaos! I’m Mellodie (she/her), one of the rare few lady GMs holding the screen and rolling the dice. By day I’m a teacher wrangling classrooms of screaming kids (which means herding a few adventurers through a dungeon is basically light work). By night, I’m a storyteller, world-builder, and dice-slinger with seven years steeped in D&D 5e and six years DMing full-blown campaigns. My games are homebrewy-chaotic-anime-fueled-storystorms where anything can (and usually does) happen. I don’t do cookie-cutter modules, I write the worlds we play in. Expect monsters pulled from my brain, custom races and classes, and plenty of “rule of cool” moments. If your character concept doesn’t fit inside the PHB? Perfect. I’ll brew something just for you. At my table, player freedom reigns. I want your characters to feel unique, cinematic, and wildly fun, because D&D should feel like your anime arc, not just another dungeon crawl. So bring me your wild ideas. I’ll meet you with dice, chaos, and a notebook full of scribbles. Together we’ll make a story worth bragging about. 💌 Discord: mellodiemoon#0 📜 Commission form: Instagram icon 🎲 Community Discord: Twitch icon (open to everyone, players or not!)

Creating your character
There isn’t a traditional Session 0 for this play-by-post world. Instead, players can ease in at their own pace: - Follow the step-by-step guide for making a character - Peek at the wiki to learn about the world, NPCs, and ongoing arcs - Or simply read through the existing posts to get a feel for the tone, chaos level, and current shenanigans No pressure, no deadlines—just jump in when you’re ready and introduce your character in the world.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Getting Ready to Play: PbP Adventure Jumping into the play-by-post world is easy and flexible, there’s no Session 0, so you can start at your own pace. Begin by creating a character using the step-by-step guide or wiki, or just dive in and discover the world as you go. Think about your character’s personality, quirks, and goals; even small details make interactions with NPCs and other players more fun. The world is packed with NPCs, evolving stories, and unexpected events. You can read the wiki or scroll through past posts to get a feel for the tone and chaos level, but surprises are part of the fun. Your character can talk to NPCs, explore locations, join quests, or just cause mischief—the world will respond to your choices. Text is your main tool, so write your actions and dialogue clearly, and keep your character sheet handy for occasional dice rolls. There’s no strict schedule: post when you feel inspired, read what’s happening, and jump in naturally. I’ll provide story prompts, guide NPC interactions, and help the world evolve around your characters. The sandbox is yours, bring creativity, curiosity, and a little chaos, and watch your story unfold.
What GM Mellodie brings to the table
As the game master for our online sessions, I'll be making sure everything is set up for a fantastic gaming experience. Here's what I'll bring to the virtual table: Dice and Mechanics: - While players are welcome to use their real dice, I'll have multiple bots at the ready that can handle dice rolls and mechanics to keep the game flowing smoothly. Character Art Assistance: - I can help players find suitable art for their characters before the game begins, ensuring that everyone has a visual representation of their hero or heroine. Maps and Puzzles: - I'll come prepared with maps and puzzles to challenge the party during our adventures. These visual aids will help immerse you in the world and add depth to our storytelling. Monsters and Encounters: - Don't worry; I won't forget the monsters! I'll be managing all the creatures, non-player characters, and encounters to keep the action exciting and engaging. Music and Atmosphere: - I'll have a selection of background music and sound effects queued up to enhance the atmosphere and make our sessions even more immersive. While I won't be providing physical maps or illustrations post-game, I'll ensure that our virtual gaming experience is rich and memorable, with everything you need for an epic adventure right at your fingertips.

How GM Mellodie creates a safe table
As the game master, I prioritize the safety and comfort of all players during our sessions. While I may not use Lines and Veils specifically, I do make it a point to discuss triggers and ask players about any potential sensitivities they may have. This open dialogue allows us to establish boundaries and ensure a positive gaming experience. Our table remains open to players of all backgrounds, experience levels, and ages, with respect and inclusivity as our primary rules. This creates an environment where everyone feels safe and can fully participate in the adventure.
