About the adventure
You begin as a hopeful recruit of the infamous Order of the Silent Sword: an adventurer seeking fortune, purpose, or redemption. To earn your place, you must take out goblin bandits, kill terrifying monsters and assassinate dangerous characters. But as your reputation grows, so too does the darkness behind the curtain… A mysterious cult stirs in secret. Their goal? Nothing less than the end of the world as it is known. And your rise through the ranks of the Order will place you directly in their path. Will you become legends… or the final line of defense before everything falls? What This Campaign Offers ✅ A fully original long-term narrative with deep lore ✅ Morally complex contracts — assassinations, covert ops, monster hunts & political intrigue ✅ A true “recruits to legends” character arc ✅ A powerful endgame threat that responds to your choices ✅ A living world that changes based on your actions, your character's backstories and your failures Gameplay Style Roleplay-Forward: I always put your backstories first in my campaigns. If you've taken the time to build a well-rounded character, I will respect that. Tactical, High-Stakes Combat: Challenging encounters where strategy is rewarded. Meaningful Choices: Your decisions shape not just the story, but the journey of every NPC you encounter. This world changes with your choices. Who This Game Is For People who like role play. The campaign can be modified for beginners who are completely new to DnD and want to tell a story - but it also works for veteran players who want their skills tested. I will cater to your style. Safety & Table Culture This is a respectful, inclusive, and safe table using: Lines & Veils X-Card Open Door policy Your comfort always comes before the story.

About me
Hi! I’m Luke, a film director and storyteller who discovered D&D during lockdown. What started as a fun escape quickly turned into a passion, and before long, my skills as a film writer meant I was nominated to be put behind the DM screen. My filmmaking background influences every session I run. I approach the game with a focus on cinematic pacing, emotional stakes, rich worldbuilding, and memorable NPCs. I love crafting sessions that feel like stepping into a living story, full of tension, humour, drama, and moments that players talk about long after the dice stop rolling. One of the things my players appreciate most is how I integrate their backstories directly into the main narrative. I believe every character deserves meaningful spotlight time, personal choices that matter, and twists that tie their history into the larger plot in unexpected ways. My goal is to make players feel like they’re shaping the world, not just adventuring through it. I strive to create welcoming, collaborative tables where creativity thrives and everyone feels comfortable exploring their character. Whether your favourite moments are high-stakes battles, heartfelt roleplay or shocking reveals, I aim to deliver an experience that’s engaging, immersive, and uniquely tailored to the group. If you’re looking for a DM who brings cinematic storytelling, energy, and a genuine love for collaborative adventure, I’d be thrilled to have you at my table.

Creating your character
To get the campaign up and running as fast as possible, create a Level 5 character before the game starts. When I invite you to the Discord channel we will use to play, there is a tab for describing who your character is. Use that to explain to the party who your character is. If you want to have some secret back story - a dark past or secret motive - that you want to only reveal midway through the campaign, feel free to send me a DM through here or through the Discord.

What Luke brings to the table
If you are willing to dive head first into this world, I will be ready for it. Each NPC is unique with layered backstory and their own voices. They will tailor themselves to your journey. I can even incorporate them into your own backstories if you want to really dive into the role play. I will stick to the rules closely, but the rules are there to enable the story. I might tweak a rule for the purposes of storytelling, but it will always be consistent and fair. I have a few homebrew rules to make this an unique experience for the players as well.
Homebrew rules
Long rests have a d100 random encounter roll attached to them... for better or for worse. If players can recap the story well enough when we start up again, they will be granted a hero token - which they can cash in once a play session to automatically crit or pass a check.

How Luke creates a safe table
I will send out a message asking everyone to privately tell me their soft limits and their hard limits (Lines and Veils). We will also have the X card that can be played through the Discord server, in private or in public, or said vocally over the chat.
