About the adventure
Learn to play Savage Worlds with a Savage Worlds Ace/ Foundry VTT module publisher! Modern Magick is a two session tutorial will be tailored to those new to roleplaying games, Foundry VTT and/or the Savage Worlds rules system. Using the pre-generated characters provided by the GM, players will be able to get into the game and start playing immediately. Experienced role players are also welcome and could be a great boon to the less experienced players. Modern Magick is a dark fantasy horror setting crafted for the Savage Worlds rules system and tailored specifically for use on Foundry VTT. Set in the fictional town of Bedlam, Massachusetts. Bedlam is a shadowy, fictionalized universe that seamlessly weaves together historical landmarks, eerie New England folklore, and tributes to the macabre works of Poe, Lovecraft, and King, all presented with a touch of Whedonesque wit and charm. It explores themes of morality and mystery, challenging players to navigate the blurred lines between Good and Evil while uncovering the greater secrets of mages living within the realms of the Modern Magick universe.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
Join our Discord server at https://discord.gg/cartoon-villains Be sure to select any choice related to Modern Magick and Savage Worlds during signup. After that, send a DM to @maleister with your First Name and I’ll send you your Username (FirstName) and Password for the Foundry Server. You must use a headset and mic during the game. Please find a quiet area to join the game session with minimal background noise and distractions. The game will be played on our dedicated Foundry Server. How Jeff Spring creates a safe table
This game is set in a morally grey world of powerful human mages. Sometimes, players will have to make hard choices about which outcome is the best of out of the bad choices presented to them and it’s not one where they will ever feel 100% comfortable about those decisions. Sexual content will always be PG-13. (If you can't say it in front of your Grand Mother...don't say it.) The violence and horror will be rated at very hard R. There will be a 10 minute break in the middle of the session.
