About the adventure
Taking place in the grand adventurer city of Waterdeep, this 2024 5e game will have adventurers become involved in various aspects of the city's daily life. Gangs, politicians, city guard, various factions: there are many things that can influence you and your actions. Or will you rise up and instead take control of the situations here yourselves? There are many opportunities for a sandbox style of play as there are also many RP opportunities here. Depending on your choices and actions, different avenues of resolving your obective will become available. Things are not what they seem as you delve deeper into the mysteries of the city.

About me
I have played Dungeons and Dragons since I was a child. It was something I grew up with. Over the years I have played in both private games in-person and over discord as both a Dungeon Master and player. While I have experience in running modules I have become attached to creating my own worlds and personalized storylines. At this point I have almost 30 years of play under my belt with about 12 years of that being a DM. I have worked with other DM's worldwide to develop my talents in providing an immersive experience and story writing. My latest ventures have been in westmarch style play but I am trying to transition back to running more formal style, personal games.

Creating your character
There will be a free session 0 in which final details of characters and ability scores will be determined. Starting level will be 1 in DNDBeyond. A discord link where the campaign link is located will be sent upon signup for the game. Approved books will be already set in the campaign link. If you are unfamiliar with DNDBeyond, you simply need to create a free account at DNDBeyond.com and you will have all the access you need once you join the campaign link.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
DNDBeyond and Discord will be the two systems needed for this campaign. We will be using Discord for session organization and communication. VC will be used for session but otherwise communication will be either via VC or text where appropriate. DNDBeyond VTT will be utilized where needed but otherwise visuals and maps will be accessible via images in Discord or links to specific websites.
What DM - Stile brings to the table
I will be providing a Discord server setup for ease of organization of information, public to the players as well as individual channels for character discussion. I highly encourage in-depth backgrounds and incorporating characters into the setting so will be spending as much time as needed discussing how we can do that. I provide a comfortable, open, and fun space to play and a narrative style storytelling. I want to bring the city to life around you all as you find yourselves immersed in the twisting and evolving plot of the world around you as you go about your adventure.
Homebrew rules
If you ever get stuck you can always "Insight it out", basically use a general Insight check to see what options may lay before you with the information you know. Help guide you if you ever get stuck. Drinking a potion yourself is a Bonus Action.

How DM - Stile creates a safe table
I have set of rules for everyone to read and agree to regarding table etiquette. I also review them quickly in session 0 and utilize X, N, O to distinguish when content is approaching dangerous areas. I am always open to discuss these things in private as well if that is preferred.
