About the adventure
Welcome to the Iron Canyons. This is a land carved by red stone and ruled by the gun and the gear. In the cliffside city of Willow, a fragile peace hangs by a thread. The Star Union binds elementals into gems to power the city, while the Alchemist Guild churns out black powder and firearms to conquer the wastes. But out in the badlands, the treaties are burning. The High Rock Drifters have refused to protect the borders in protest of the construction of a Dwarven dam choking the river, leaving the legendary "Gizmit Line" railway vulnerable. But politics and profit are the least of your worries. Under the maddening gaze of the Twin Eyes, reality itself is fraying. The Great Divide bleeds monsters from Time Rifts into the present, while deep in the cosmic void, something ancient and hungry stirs, waiting to reclaim a world that is forgetting its history. Ancient Elven secrets lie buried beneath the sand, and the only person who knows how to stop the coming apocalypse is a mad gnome inventor who vanished ten years ago. This campaign blends the grit of a Spaghetti Western with the wonder of Fantasy and the dread of Cosmic Horror. You’ll be protecting (or robbing!) armored trains, negotiating with Devil crime lords in the neon-lit City of Chance, and deciding the fate of a dying world. Will you ride for the brand and uphold the law with the High Sheriff? Will you fuel the fires of industry with the Alchemists? Or will you burn it all down to save the roots? Saddle up, check your ammo, and prepare your spells. In the Iron Canyons, the only thing cheaper than a bullet is a broken promise.

About me
Hi! I'm Ace, the Game Master with a Masters Degree in Leadership Studies, TESL and Online Course Design. Did I choose that major to become a leader and climb the corporate ladder? Hell no! I started down that path to better my communication skills and become the best game master I could possibly be! Was it worth it? Probably not! Most people don't go into thousands of dollars of debt just to run better games but for some wild reason that is where I end up. My final project was the creation of a "Learning TTRPG Course" that focused on teaching communication skills and the English language through task-based role-playing activities. Anyways, all of this is to say that I have spent a lot of time learning communication skills through the lens of a Game Master and applying those skills in games. I have several years of experience running games both privately for friends and publicly as a coordinator for my college's TTRPG club. If you choose me to be your GM I promise to bring this knowledge to the table to create the best experience I possibly can! You also might help me put a dent in those student loans... Check out my blog, I write about how to apply communication skills to improve your ttrpg experience. https://ttrpgteamwork.substack.com/

Creating your character
Normal character creation with the free archetype rule starting at level one. Characters will be created before the first session in a Discord group chat to make sure they share general goals and will mesh well. All Pathfinder 2e material can be used but may require some flavor modification to fix the setting. The "Guns & Gears" book will fit the setting best but don't feel like you have to use it.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord for messaging and voice chat during the game. Foundry VTT works through your regular internet browser.
What Ace brings to the table
I enjoy lots of different aspects of TTRPGs so its best for you to let me know what you like. I'm open to intense tactical combat, political intrigue, realm building and dungeon crawls.
Homebrew rules
I have years of experience with Pathfinder 1e but I am fairly new to running Pathfinder 2e. I plan on sticking to the rules as written but I am open to discussion of homebrew rules if we start to feel they would help.

How Ace creates a safe table
I think most people participate in TTRPG's for fun so I avoid heavy topics. I don't include racism or sexism in my settings because some people have to deal with that in real life so I doubt they want to roleplay it. If there are other subjects you would like to avoid we will address them in chat before the game using a lines and veils document. X, N, and O Cards will be used during play through the chat or camera.
