About the adventure
The Shattered Lands is a homebrew game and world with the Pathfinder 2e ruleset. You are a citizen of the Imperium of Vultus after the emperor Kalayavan overthrew King Aldric IV a decade ago. This is a dark fantasy game with eldritch horrors, devils, undead, and all maner of eeeeeeeevvvvvviiiilllllll.... The Shattered Lands are East of the Imperium of Vultus. The land is name this because of the vast amount of ruins hidden within the dunes as a result of an unknown magical desolation years ago. Even now unknown horrors and dark magic still stalk the lands. You are an: explorer, adventurer, sellsword, researcher, Imperium Agent, agent of the Rebellion, or any other type of person whom you can think would want to traverse and uncover the secrets of the Shattered Lands. Your reasons are your own...But, once you uncover the truth...you can't go back... Hi! My name is Chris and I like to play games with a good amount of roleplay, exploration, survival, and leaving things up to chance. This means, I like to come up with stories collaboratively. I got the bones in place, but I need and want players who want to create stories with me. This means that even I, don't know everything thats gonna happen in a story. And thats partly by design, because just like any player, I too like being surprise, excited, and even shocked by things that we'll come up with in the moment.

I have led games for students with developmental difficulties, ASD, or ADHD like myself. My GM philosophy is: - Offer a safe place for folks to play (including from other players if necessary) - Facilitate the story and immerse my players. - Keep the game moving and flowing without slowing down. - Empower my players to help. Creating your character
We will start creating characters with a session 0. Stats will be decided with the normal allocation of boosts when creating their PC. Starting level will be 3. We will be using Foundry for this game and creating the characters there. I use Foundry through "The Forge," so whenever anyone is interested in looking at their character and making tweaks, they just need to let me know so I can start up the server for them. All pf2e books are available to use, including stuff before 2.5 and before the ORC license came out.
Will update accordingly.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Short Answer: - Discord for Voice - Working microphone attached to your computer - Working Browser for your computer (Chrome, Safari, Mozilla, Edge, etc.) - Foundry through Forge for our VTT - Syrinscape browser link for Audio - Basic computer compentancy Long more thorough answer: We will be using Discord for our voice. So you will need a discord account and a working microphone that you can use. Here is a link for signing up for discord if you do not have it. https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/31676852332439-Discord-Sign-Up-and-Registration-Guide So, after you commit to the game you will be given a link for the proper Discord channel, where we can communicate from there. You will need a proper working microphone attached to your computer that is set up with Discord. Because we are using Foundry and Forge, you will need to sign up for a forge account. Which you can do here :) https://forge-vtt.com/account/signup After your account is created, I can give you the Forge invitation link to our Foundry VTT game which you will use your internet browser to access. Finally you will be given a syrinscape link which you can also use by copying and pasting the address into your internet browser.
What Christopher Lirette (Prank5ter) brings to the table
I love to immerse my players in the scene with their senses. What do they see, hear, feel, smell, taste. I love roleplay and utilizing voice for my characters. Even failing at doing a voice is good fun. I like to use Syrinscape for ambient music and audio. Also talking with my players about what music they like and don't like. I also love hard combats, really stretching my players. On the flip side, I also love rule of cool, special effects for natural 20's, to offset the difficulty. I will use a webcam so they can see my face and webcams for others are optional but encouraged. I like seeing peoples faces when they laugh, are horrified, suspicious, creeped out, etc. I think it adds to the feeling of it being an in-person table. Also, I do use A.I. images as flavor images throughout the game. Including the image used to for this particular game.

How Christopher Lirette (Prank5ter) creates a safe table
We'll have a lines and veils checklist that folks are welcome to fill out and send back to me. As well as any clarifications people would like to message me. Confidentiality is important, so I won't reveal any players lines or limits without their consent. Players can also tell if something hits a limit during play via discord or a red card within game. In session 0 without revealing who, we'll go over limits, characters, the basic overview of the campaign, and any content warnings or triggers that y'all would like to me possibly avoid.
