About the adventure

šŸŽµ Original Theme Song: https://open.spotify.com/track/3AxuTR3PFufeXSS6oNeXii?si=1fb4d9c41b414143 šŸŽ„ A Chaotic Ratling Holiday One-Shot in the Ruins of Drakkenheim Ratmas has arrived, and for the Ratlings of Drakkenheim, that means only one thing: feasting, fighting, and frantic celebration in the filth-strewn tunnels of the Rat’s Nest. You and your fellow Ratlings kick off the night with raucous festival games, volatile potions, bewildered human captives, and plenty of opportunities to show off your claws, teeth, and creativity. But in the middle of the festivities, an omen streaks across the sky: the Jolly Fat Man’s sleigh has crashed somewhere inside the city walls. Every Ratling knows the legends. The Jolly Fat Man is enormous, delicious, and stuffed with holiday magic... if you can catch him. Rival broods want the prize for themselves, and every second you waste is another second they chew their way ahead. With the bells still ringing from the Ratmas revels, you’ll race through the Haze-soaked streets, dodge the ruined city’s horrors, battle hungry competition, and chase down the sweetest holiday feast in Ratling history. This one-shot is fast-paced, chaotic, darkly comedic, and absolutely drenched in Drakkenheim flavor. Expect grotesque Ratling humor, improvisational mayhem, and a gleefully twisted holiday tone that balances danger with absurdity. Whether you're a fan of Drakkenheim, a lover of weird holiday adventures, or simply looking to sink your teeth into something deranged and delightful, this game is built to entertain. Play as a Ratling. Hunt the Jolly Fat Man. Celebrate Ratmas the way it was meant to be celebrated: loud, messy, and gloriously unhinged. āœ… What You Can Expect: šŸŽ A Level 5 Adventure: A frantic, hilarious holiday chase through the ruins of Drakkenheim. šŸŽ Homebrew Enhancements: Enjoy custom twists, new gear, upgraded encounters, and personalized touches tailored to your party and playstyle. šŸŽ Immersive Storytelling: A cinematic blend of horror, humor, and Ratling-driven chaos from start to finish. šŸŽ Visually Stunning Artwork: Explore animated maps with dynamic lighting and effects, and encounter beautifully curated art that brings each setting and character vividly to life. šŸŽ Curated Soundscapes: Immerse yourself in carefully chosen ambient tracks, cinematic music, and dramatic sound effects. Plus player-triggered SFX for those perfect moments. šŸŽ Unique NPC Voices: Interact with characters who each speak in their own voice or accent: distinct, memorable, and crafted to make the world feel alive. šŸŽ Challenging Combat: Face enemies that think, flank, and adapt. Expect fights that reward smart tactics, teamwork, and creative problem-solving. šŸŽ Bonus Level 1 Feat: Start with a free feat to give your character that extra edge... you’ll need it where you’re going. Reserve your spot now—Ratmas begins at sundown, and the feast waits for no Ratling!

About me

Greetings, adventurers—and welcome to the table where stories come alive and legends are born. šŸŽ² I am Lord Malachi Draven—your dedicated Game Master for hire, storyteller, and architect of realms where legend, danger, and desire entwine. Whether you're seeking epic fantasy, seductive intrigue, or pulse-pounding encounters, I’ll be your guide through adventures forged in fire, fate, and imagination. šŸ§™ā€ā™‚ļø My love of worldbuilding was shaped by the sprawling landscapes of The Elder Scrolls and the rich, character-driven narratives of Baldur’s Gate, Dragon Age, and other legendary RPGs. These games didn’t just entertain me—they taught me the power of choice, consequence, and collaborative storytelling. That same philosophy fuels every game I run. šŸ”® At my table, the dice tell stories—ones that test your courage, tempt your curiosity, and leave your party begging for "just one more hour." Every session is tailored to your group’s playstyle, whether you crave deep roleplay, tactical combat, or cinematic storytelling with a flair for the dramatic. āš”ļø I welcome all players—from first-time adventurers to grizzled veterans. My sessions are inclusive, immersive, and designed to give everyone a moment to shine. Whether you prefer kingdom-shaking politics, monster-slaying dungeon crawls, or roleplay-rich character drama, you’ll find a story worth telling—and remembering. 🌌 The table is set. The dice are ready. Adventure awaits. Let’s roll!

Character creation

Creating your character

šŸ€ Play as a Ratling All characters must use the new Ratling Species, as well as one of four Ratling Backgrounds. You also must choose from a list of Ratling Personal Quests, or create your own. 🧰 Where to Create You can build your character in D&D Beyond or directly in Foundry. Foundry is recommended if you're using third-party content, as D&D Beyond doesn’t support everything we allow. šŸ“š Allowed Sources āœ”ļø All official WotC content, excluding Eberron and Spelljammer. We use the 2024 rules. Subclasses can be updated if needed. āœ”ļø All Critical Role content. āœ”ļø Sebastian Crowe's Guide to Drakkenheim. āœ”ļø Valda's Spire of Secrets. āœ”ļø Other published sources may be approved—just ask! šŸŽ² Ability Scores āœ”ļø Point Buy (27 points) āœ”ļø Standard Array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) āœ”ļø Rolling—Roll 4d6 and drop the lowest die. Rolls must be made on Foundry. šŸ§™ Starting Level & Feat Characters begin at Level 5 and gain a free feat at level 1 and 4. ------ If you’re unsure about anything, I’m always happy to help. Safety

How Malachi creates a safe table

For one-shots like this, we keep it simple: we’ll be using scheduled Breaks and a clear Open Door Policy to ensure a respectful, low-pressure environment. Need to step away? No problem—you're always free to take a break or leave at any time, no explanation required. I’ll also call for a short break during the session so everyone can stretch, refocus, and grab a drink or snack. While we won’t be using formal tools like Lines & Veils or Consent Checklists for this one-shot, I still aim to create a table where everyone feels safe, welcome, and respected. If there’s ever something that crosses a line or makes you uncomfortable, just say the word—or send me a quick message—and I’ll adjust immediately, no questions asked. Let’s keep things fun, creepy (in a good way), and collaborative.
