About the adventure

A forgotten prophecy. A fallen Order. A lost Master. A sinister shadow. What starts as a simple infiltration and intel gathering mission at an Imperial Comm Relay Station, quickly turns into a race to fulfill an ancient prophecy. One that could restore the Jedi Order and help bring down the tyrannical Galactic Empire. But don’t think this will be an easy mission. The Empire is hot on your heels! If they fulfill the prophecy, they could twist it to their own ends, and smother the galaxy in a darkness that no light could hope to penetrate. Your rag-tag team of Alliance Intelligence Agents will have to push yourselves and your loyalties to the breaking point as you try to outrun, outmaneuver, and outsmart the evil forces of the Empire. Will you help light the flames of hope in every heart in the galaxy? Or will you let darkness consume the will of every living thing out there? This is a short campaign, consisting of about 6-8 sessions, takes place during the Rebellion Era of the Star Wars universe (Ep. 4-6). For 2-6 Players. Characters need to be Alliance Operatives, and at least one of them needs to be a Jedi Apprentice. Pre-Gen characters available. Here's a little intro vid I had worked up for this game! About me

Greetings, Gamers! My name is Byron, and if there was one word I would use to describe myself; it's Gamer. 2 words? Game Master. I love Table-Top Role Playing Games, and have been playing for over half my life. I was originally introduced to Table-Top Gaming via my older brother, Joe, who ran Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (i.e. D&D 2nd Edition). Years later, I was introduced to West End Games' Star Wars RPG, on the D6 System, by my best friend, Cyrus. Everything clicked with that beloved system and it wasn't long before I was running my own games. That was almost 30 years ago, and I've hardly stopped rolling the dice ever since. From there, I've brought TTRPG's to every place I've ever called home. I was always seeking out fellow gamers, and if I couldn't find any I'd bring new players into the fold. I've started two gaming clubs at different schools, created and headed the Traditional Games department of an Anime Convention for about 7 years. Plus, I hosted a gaming podcast, called Rho Pi Gamma, through 7 successful seasons, and have even done some live stream games on Twitch. All while running home games, in person or over the net. Now, I've finally decided it was time I took this thing I had such a passion for, and make it my livelihood; as a Professional Game Master!

Character creation

Creating your character

You'll have the choice of either using pre-generated characters, or creating ones of your own, which we'll take care of during the first session. The West End Games D6 System (called OpenD6 now) is one of the easiest TTRPG systems to learn and use, making character creation quick and easy!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All you'll need is a reliable computer, stable internet connection, a free account on Roll20.net, and a headset or a pair of headphones and a separate mic for voice chat. A Discord account is recommended for a backup for voice chat.

What Byron | GreenCastle GameMaster brings to the table

I provide all needed materials, in a digital format, for the players; Tokens, Character Sheets, Custom Maps, PreGen Characters (if needed), and links to PDF's of the relevant rule/source books. My 12 years experience in using Roll20 lets utilize these materials to a rather high degree. I have over 25 years experience behind the GM Screen, and extensive knowledge of the Star Wars Legacy Universe from being a fan since I was 3. I also have several years of Stage Theater training and experience, giving me a wide range of acting tools such as improve and voice acting. All of this combined allows me to run a very deep, immersive game with rich stories, in depth NPC's, all in a living universe that changes and adapts to the player's decisions, and grows with them on their journey!

Safety

How Byron | GreenCastle GameMaster creates a safe table

I'm a very open and accepting person and I try to incorporate this into my games. At the start of each campaign, I have a Session Zero, where I go over aspects of the campaign and ask if there's any subject matter that the players want to avoid. I usually call for a break halfway through the session, to give everyone a little respite, and handle in out-of-game questions and/or concerns. I also have a kind of Open Door policy, so that any one, at any time, can call for a break, discussion, or to speak with me privately about anything in or around the game. Finally, I like getting feedback from my players. Even if I run an outstanding session, I feel there are always things that I could do to help improve the experience for my players. So, I use a system I picked up from a fellow Game Master called; Goods, Bads, and Uglies. Each player says one thing about the game they really liked, one thing they didn't like or thought needed improvement, and then pick something that one of the other players did that they feel deserves extra recognition or reward.
