About the adventure

🎅🏼 Oh, no! Something's wrong in the toy factory! Santa has been bamboozled, and his workshop is overrun with frosty foes, wintry wrongdoers, and North Pole ne'er-do-wells. 🧝🏼A team of Santa's elves manages to escape the workshop warzone and recruit a party of adventurers to take back Toyland. 🎄Can our heroes muster enough cheer and joy to make sure all the good girls and boys get their holiday gifts? 🚂 Or will everyone forever get stockings full of coal... whether they're on the Naughty List or the Nice List? This is a level 8 D&D adventure that sees the party pulled into a quest to save Christmas for the local children.

About me

🧙🏾 Greetings, Adventurer! And welcome to my table! I appreciate you stopping by. 📚 My time as a biologist has taught me that humans are a storytelling species. It is my pleasure to help people tell their stories in a fun and fantastical way. 🎲 I have been rolling dice and telling stories with my friends, family, and local gaming club for over a decade now. My love of fantasy began with Brian Jacques' Redwall series and other fantasy novels, then moved on to JRPGs like the Final Fantasy series, and now I get to tell my own fantasy stories for a living! 🛠️ I enjoy constantly experimenting with storytelling, game design, world-building, voice impressions and digital tools to create iteratively immersive and fun experiences for my players.

Character creation

Creating your character

The party will play at level 8 with starting equipment, a common magic item, an uncommon magic and +1000GP to spend on mundane items or healing potions (regular 50, greater 250, superior 450). You can use standard array or point buy for stats and fixed HP. We will use the 2024 rules and 2024 Player handbook for the most part. I allow most official player character options but please be mindful about table harmony when creating your character. Mostly options from the 2024 Player's Handbook should suffice but you can run anything else by me as long as it will be quick and easy to implement.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

🎮 If you don't already, you will need free Discord, D&D Beyond and Sqyre.app accounts. Nothing needs to be purchased. 🎙️ A good mic and headset are recommended for voice communication on Discord. 🎲 A browser plugin called Beyond20 can be used to send your D&D Beyond rolls to Foundry. 🔉 You will receive a link to the Discord Server beforehand, where you can find the rest of the set-up information. 🧑 Please send me any pictures of your character in advance so that tokens can be created.
