About the adventure
It’s 1943. The world is in the midst of a second Great War. In the shadows and under the sands, strange forces stir. Ancient powers, forgotten bloodlines, and dark magiks rise in the shadow of the atom — surrounded by tanks, zeppelins, and mechanized monstrosities. You’ve endured the Rites of Ink, becoming a member of the Archon Quill, a collection of librarians, professors, authors, and relic hunters dating back fifteen centuries. Your duty: investigate arcane threats, keep the magical peace, and occasionally light an Illithid or two on fire to protect civilization from erasure. You’ve been assigned residence in the Beirut Vault House, a converted 16th-century mosque in the cities oldest district. Your Sayyid al-Kutub is a Chimeegur (Bugbear) with a heart of gold. Your Umm al-Khazā, Vault Mother, is a Brownie bound to Beirut by an unspoken oath. And the staff all swear her cookies are enchanted. This is WWII by way of Uncharted, Tomb Raider, Inglourious Basterds, and Iron Sky — pulp action with a magical twist. Expect knife fights and trench coats. Expect the Drows sons to wear SS uniforms, undead Romanovs, and Tolstoy’s lost manuscript to radiate psionic power. Expect artifact recovery, librarians turned double agents, and museum curators casting spells. In a world where the gates of Jannah are guarded by dissociated angelic bureaucrats, Allah is silent, and the seven rings of Jahannam are thriving, it’s up to you to make sure the world’s relics don’t fall into the wrong hands. The world is weirder than you think — and the things under Cairo don’t want to stay buried.

Creating your character
Characters will be built as part of a session zero where you will be introduced to this alternate Earth.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I will be running sessions via discord please create an account prior to sessions zero.
What Christopher brings to the table
I am a GM who favors RP over tactical combat. The characters I create are generally morally ambiguous and gray. I enjoy thought provoking comentary. Historical, sociological and cultural parallels often show up in the worlds I create.
Homebrew rules
This game is primarily Rules as Written. • Firearms are in play, using the official D&D rules. I do have stats for additional firearms. • Divine casters channel power through faith, ideals, or institutions rather than direct deities, but their mechanics remain unchanged. • Most differences will be narrative, not mechanical.
