Crucible!” Alright folks, the rules couldn’t be simpler so listen close! 📚 GENERAL RULES 📜 Team Format: All matches are played in teams of 2. Work together or fall together. 📜 Best-of-5 Matches: Each match is a first-to-3-wins format. Win 3 rounds, advance in the gauntlet. 📜 Character Roster: Every player enters the tournament with two characters: one Main Character and one Sub-Character. 📜 No Changes Allowed: Once your characters are submitted, they are locked in for the entire event. No edits, no swaps. 📜 Dynamic Maps: Each round uses a different battle map, chosen from the official arena categories. 🎲 LEVEL SELECTION & COIN TOSS SYSTEM 📜 Coin Toss Start: Every match begins with a coin toss to determine who chooses the first level cap. 📜 Level Options: The available level caps are 1, 5, 10, 15, and 20. 📜 Winning Team Picks First: The winner of the coin toss chooses the level cap for Round 1. 📜 Losing Team Picks the Arena: The coin toss loser selects the arena for Round 1 from these categories: Wide • Small • Elevated • With Water • With Obstacles • Empty 📜 Alternating Choice: Level caps alternate each round—first chosen by the toss winner, then the loser, and so on—until up to 5 rounds are played. ⚔ COMBAT RULES & CHARACTER SWAPS 📜 Main Character: Your primary fighter, the core of your team’s strategy. 📜 Sub-Character: A prepared backup hero who can dramatically shift matchups. 📜 One Swap Per Player: Each player may swap their main character for their sub-character once per match. Choose your timing wisely. 📜 Stalemate Prevention: To avoid endless stalemates, damage over time will be added as the round drags on, ensuring the fight ends decisively. 📜 Winning the Match: The first team to win 3 rounds claims the match and advances to the next stage. “Alright, alright, contenders, let’s talk about prizes! Step right up, because glory isn’t the only thing on the line!” Prizes & Glory 🥇 1st Place – $60 Prize Pool The champion team walks away with $60 total. Cold hard cash for the last duo standing in The Crucible. 🥈 2nd Place – Free Session for Each Player Both members of the runner-up team earn one free session each, redeemable for any available game hosted by the DM. 🥉 3rd Place – Magical Items Each player on the third-place team receives one magical item, granted in-character and usable in future games within the setting. 👑 Champion Title: First-place winners earn the coveted title of Crucible Champion, honored across Cadmen’s underground fighting rings and respected by every major underground organization. If interest rises, The Crucible will expand to 32 players and 4 rounds. Spectators and commentators are always welcome! ⏱️ Match schedules will be created after all sign-ups are in, ensuring every player receives a timeslot they can realistically attend.
