About the adventure

Welcome to Perennia, the Eternal World, a mythical continent filled to the brim with magic, monsters, and wonders. A land where hero kings parley with ancient emperors, red dragons battle nine-headed phoenixes for dominance of the skies above, and liches scheme to steal the powers from the Judges of the Hells below. For eons this tenuous balance held... Until now, with no warning, crystalline fonts of condensed magical energy have suddenly sprung up all over the continent, these fonts, named "Amaranths", contain such immense power that just obtaining a handful of them is enough to change the fate of a nation. How lucky you are, to be living in such a pivotal moment that may well decide the fate of an entire continent. Taking place in an original world created from a blend of both Western and Eastern fantasy features, with access to 5 original subclasses for the Barbarian, Fighter, Paladin, Sorcerer, and Warlock classes, you might make a bargain with a vampire lord in the morning only to double-cross them by making a new deal with a divine general of the celestial courts above, or perhaps you could storm the Hells below, defeating devils and yaoguai alike all to cross your name from the Ledger of Life and Death to obtain immortality, the opportunities are endless if only you would take them. The Continent of Perennia is filled with eleven different kingdoms and empires from which your character may come from, each one unique, and differing in everything from climate, to culture, to their native monsters and beasts. Are you human from the ancient hegemony that is the Actaein Empire, newly retired from the army of your demigod emperor? Or are you perhaps a high elf from the Filigree Kingdom, your mind still fresh with the poetry offered to the gold dragons residing within your forests? Or maybe you're a tiefling hailing from the desert nation of Aaru, who is only there to seek a better life for yourself and your families after escaping the aptly named "Land of No Return"? I am a veteran DM with over 10 years of experience, as well as a counseling psychologist, I like to run games with deep immersion, interesting and three dimensional NPCs, thorough worldbuilding, and tactical battles. Character creation

Creating your character

Please contact by way of Discord (my username is: overlord0640) and I will work on creating your character with you, I will share with you the details of the world, its history, and so on so that, if you wish, you can create a character that fits perfectly into the setting. I will also be sending the link to the actual campaign on Roll20 at this point. You may use any officially published material for creating your character, though let it be known that I will be checking over everything just to make sure all is well. We will also be taking this chance to go over any taboos to avoid or lines you do not wish to cross in the campaign, and I will do my best to accommodate your needs and wants.

Preparing for the session

Please make sure you have an account on both Discord as well as Roll20, as we will be using Discord to communicate and Roll20 to play the game.

What Fulgurite brings to the table

This will be a high fantasy campaign, open to beginners and veterans alike, with a lot of player agency, and all manner of places to explore, monsters to hunt, and treasure to loot, expect immersive and impactful roleplay scenarios where you actions often have tangible consequences, and combat that is tactical and thrilling. You will have access to 5 brand new subclasses to choose from, these subclasses has been thoroughly vetted and play-tested by me a DM with over a decade of experience, and my associates who have each also had at least 5 years of experience with TTRPGs. I will endeavor to voice act to the best of my abilities, we will be using a healthy blend of Rule of Cool and Rules as Written, you may contact me at any time, and I will try my best to make at least 15 minutes of time to chat with you in private pertaining to anything related to the campaign, in addition to the other safety tools mentioned later.

How Fulgurite creates a safe table

Aftercare: After the end of every session I will spend 20 minutes checking in with the group, seeing how everyone feels and resolving any questions and concerns. Breaks: There will always be at least one 15 minute break during the session. Lines and Veils: After everyone has created their characters and informed me of their individual hard limits and lines they do not wish to cross, I will compile all of it into a document and send it to everyone to read before our first official session. Open Door: You are free to take a break whenever you wish, however please understand that I cannot halt the campaign for everyone just because you are not there. Session 0: Before the campaign officially starts but after we've gotten all our players, I will be hosting a call of discord for everyone to chat, get to know each other, and get a feel for the group dynamic before our first session.
