About the adventure

Its 1999 and more importantly, its summer break. You are a group of kids swept up in the newest trend: Slugblasting. Slugblasters use modded out hoverboards, rollerblades, and bmx bikes to hop dimensions, fight monsters, and most importantly, land the nastiest new tricks known to man. Your crew is determined to make it big, and you have just the tip. Word on the street is that a new portal has opened up somewhere in town, and nobody knows where it leads... Slugblaster is perfect for players new to the rpg space, and focuses on narrative gameplay. Join if you want a laidback, sandbox experience as teenagers trying to be as cool as possible.

About me

Hey there! I'm your Local Access Netrunner, and I'm here TO RUN GAMES. I mostly play games that are generally rules-lite and flavor heavy, and get players inspired with distinct characters, vivid environments, and evocative music! My favorite movie is Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse, and my favorite food is a good Gyro.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character Creation will mostly take place in discord before the session, and therefore free of charge. It is a relatively rules-light system, so instead of a specific role in the party, players should think about the kind of kid they want to play as, and what that kid finds cool or interesting. All resources are available for free and with a lot of information and inspiration at Slugblaster.com

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All players really need is discord, a mic, and a way to track their character sheet, whether that is through pdf or printed.

What LAN brings to the table

I will provide a discord server, which will have what we need in terms of audio sharing and dice rolling, as well as resources for character creation.

Safety

How LAN creates a safe table

I employ Script Change, a variation on lines and veils, as well as breaks and an open door policy on messages between sessions.
