About the adventure

Step into Waterdeep, the illustrious City of Splendor, where the remarkable Yawning Portal Inn awaits adventurous folk from all corners of the Forgotten Realms. Driven by their desire for gold and glory, these intrepid souls delve deep into the mysteries that the Undermountain conceals. Although what they discover may be far more than what they bargained for. As autumn descends, the streets of Waterdeep erupt with violence as the terrible Black Network of Zhentarim clashes with the nefarious Xanathar Guild in a brutal gang war. Whispers speak of a mysterious trinket at the center of this conflict, a key rumored to unlock a vast treasure horde hidden somewhere within the city. And that is where you enter the fray, intrepid hero. Traverse the treacherous streets of Waterdeep, where crime and conspiracy are rife, as you hunt for this elusive trinket. Will you safeguard it from those who would exploit its power for their own gain? Or perhaps you have your sights set on claiming this incredible fortune for yourself? Whatever your ambition, your resolve will face many trials as the battle for Waterdeep intensifies. Just be sure keep your wits about you, for a sinister force lurks in the shadows, poised to seize this misbegotten bounty amidst all the chaos. Can you escape the grim destiny of death and dismemberment while powerful factions vie for control of this highly coveted prize?

About me

I've been playing TTRPGs since I found my dad's old AD&D books when I was seven and have been DMing for over a decade now. Over the years I've branched out and familiarized myself with a few other systems such as Hunter: the Vigil, Pathfinder, and Alien: The Roleplaying Game but most of my experience is with 5e D&D and various offshoots/homebrew systems based off of it (Spaceships and Starwyrms, Naruto 5e, Hollow Knight 5e, Star Wars 5e, etc.)

What Loopy brings to the table

I enjoy running games with a focus on exploration and mystery of the world, while trying my best to balance roleplay and combat depending on my players. My favorite part is working with players to tell their character's individual stories while making sure to include the rest of the party and stay true to the setting. Overall I want to make sure that everyone has fun and is able to tell their character's story their own way.

How Loopy creates a safe table

There will be a link to my Lines and Veils document on my discord server. Session zero will be primarily for character creation and familiarizing players with their character sheets and the rules as necessary. Any special concerns or possible triggers will also be discussed during session zero and if any players are not comfortable discussing it with the group as a whole they can DM me personally. If an sort of unexpected triggering content comes up in the campaign player can DM me mid session or use the X, N, and O Cards if they don't feel up to an explanation.
