About the adventure
Let us delve into the lands of Barovia in this classic module for Dungeons and Dragons 5e. Here, you shall be a group of adventurers who have met while fleeing a war-torn reality but ended up somewhere much worse: the country of Barovia. A country, but also a different realm where a bloody vampire rules with an iron fist. Fight, explore, and meet the lost souls who have made their way here in this Gothic epic straight out of Bram Stoker's wildest dreams. Curse of Strahd, a beautifully crafted story of a realm abandoned by the gods: you will find the empty husks of people going through the motions of life while you, the character, try to reignite the fire in them—the soul within them. See how the many characters cope with this grim reality, whether through denial, avoidance, or acceptance of the evil overlord. Whom will you support? Whom will you pity? For whom will you fight? Craft your own Van Helsing–like story as you hunt this fell fiend on his home turf. Account for his deadly intellect and counter his cunning with your own in this country-wide battle of wits and horrors while you protect that which is dear to you from his charm and corruption. Don't let your guard down as THAT is his ticket in.

About me
Hello, I'm John Richard a Brazilian/American GM, with a couple years of experience, be it in videomaking, video-editing, screenwriting and fotography. I love creating stories and currently am a player on two tables, one of GoT,one of Ordem Paranormal (Youtuber Cellbit's system based on Tormenta). I also am a GM for ordem paranormal, Dnd and Seven Candles. Gming is the most fun I ever had and the prospect of making a living out of it fills me with hope as it is something I trully love to do!

Creating your character
We shall create your characters in Session 0, where we will use the base 5e books to create Level 1 characters. It would be preferable for them to fit in with the gothic themes of the campaign, and I do allow homebrew content (though I don't recommend it for newer players).
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Have your character concept in mind, create an Owlbear account, a D&D Beyond account, and have your webcam ready as it's easier to roleplay when we see people's faces.
What John R. R. Knaus (Dado Sangrento) brings to the table
I use character voices and ambient music for immersion. Combat is challenging but not overly tactical or intense; you won't need to know how to "combo" to succeed. I embrace the "Rule of Cool", though I try to stick to the rules as written as much as possible. I plan on commissioning an artist for the creation of isometric tokens for the campaign.
Homebrew rules
I like (as it is a Gothic horror campaign) to use sanity rules as follows: https://www.reddit.com/r/DnDBehindTheScreen/comments/ia5vpr/5e_stress_sanity_rules
