About the adventure

A strange benefactor has hired a group of adventurers to break into the private museum of a reclusive mage and steal a mysterious artifact. However unknown to the party, the museum is protected from intruders by powerful magic that brings the inhabitants to life after dark. The party has until the first light of dawn to find the artifact and escape or risk becoming part of the collection. An 11th level heist style adventure. Not recommended for beginner players, intermediate-advanced understanding of the game is strongly recommended. Puzzle heavy but combat is only one bad roll or poor choice away.

About me

I play DnD and WoD regularly and I've sampled many other TTRPG's as well. I'm the forever DM but I wouldn't have it any other way. I run multiple games a week for my friend groups so I figured why not try going pro. They say do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life.

Character creation

Creating your character

A DnD Beyond campaign link will be provided. If you’re comfortable making your own character use the link to join with one of your own OR if you’d prefer I can provide one to your specifications. The entire game will be played from within Foundry VTT, make sure to set your character visibility to public so that Foundry can view your character and import it into the game. Character creation should be ready 30 mins before the game begins so I can make sure they are fully integrated into Foundry, however I will be available during this time in case anyone needs help finishing their set up. If there is anything specific you want to play as that you don’t have access to, DM me, I will try and make it happen. As this is a one shot, I want everyone to have as much control over creating their own character as possible, so feel free to use your preferred stat distribution method, however if you do want to roll, you must do your rolls on DnD Beyond through the character builder. Characters should be level 11, remember this is a heist so many skills will be required it's not just about combat. You have 7 points to spend on magic items (common=1pt, rare=2pt, very rare=3pt, legendary=7pt)

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need an account with DnD Beyond and Discord. A link will be provided in advance to my discord server, you will need a mic. The game will be played from within Foundry, you do not need an account, I will provide a link to join the game a few minutes before we start. Your character must be set to publicly visible on DnD Beyond and should be ready no later than 30 mins to game time, unless you are arriving early for help.

Safety

How Rose creates a safe table

This game is all ages and should be kept pg13. There is no heavy thematic content and is meant to be light hearted and FUN. **Any players who cannot respect the boundaries of others will be removed. This game is an inclusive space, any bullying or hate will not be tolerated.** We will have a brief group discussion before we begin where we introduce our characters. If you also want to introduce yourself feel free to do so, but do not feel obligated. I will refer to everyone by their character’s names and pronouns and I encourage the players to do the same. If there is anything you are concerned about and feel comfortable sharing now is the time to do so… HOWEVER, if you have more private concerns that you’re not comfortable sharing publicly, please message me before we begin. If you feel comfortable sharing privately, I will make sure your concerns are addressed anonymously during the introduction, alternatively, for more serious concerns, you can provide me a code word that you can either say or message to me privately during the game and I will know to shift the focus of the game and/or conversation. The game is intended to be heavy puzzle solving with occasional combat (but it’s DnD anything can happen), a brief break in the middle and time for feedback and debriefing for anyone interested after the session.
