About the adventure

🕯️ WHEN THE FOG IS CREEPING, 🕯️ And the moon is low; When the town is sleeping, Gauntlight starts to glow. That is when she arises For her midnight lunch. Naughty kids are prizes For her teeth to crunch. But if you obey me, And follow the rules; You are safe from Belcorra, She only eats fools. DEAR ADVENTURER, Welcome to Abomination Vaults, the most popular megadungeon in Pathfinder Second Edition. ⭐ WHAT AWAITS YOU ⭐ 🗝️ Brutal Combat 🗝️ Unforgiving Trials 🗝️ Deadly Threats 🗝️ Relentless Megadungeon 🗝️ Beginner Friendly 🗝️ Survival Is Not Guaranteed After its adaptation for 5E, this one of a kind Adventure Path is now in development as a videogame. This campaign will test you from Level 1 all the way to Level 11. 🕯️ ABOUT THE ADVENTURE 🕯️ The Gauntlight should have stayed dark. For generations, the seaside town of Otari lived in peace under the shadow of an ancient ruin. Locals whispered of a strange light extinguished long ago. Now the Gauntlight burns again, cold and blue in the mist, and those who stare too long swear they see shapes moving within. No one remembers who built it, only that the last time it shone, death followed. As livestock vanish and graves stir, fear spreads through Otari. The town calls for new heroes to uncover the truth. Your journey begins with a chance to investigate a legend best left forgotten. Abomination Vaults takes you deep below the Gauntlight, into ancient halls filled with danger, discovery, and secrets that grow darker with every floor. Roleplay and exploration are encouraged. Survival is not guaranteed. Not everyone who goes down comes back up.

About me

There is a rhythm to a good game, the kind that settles over the table without effort. You can hear it in the dice, in the pauses between decisions, in the way people slip into character without even realizing it. It is something you hold, shape, and trust. That is where stories live, and I sit behind the screen to guide them. Hi, I am Davide. I have been running games for more than two decades, and I love building stories that invite presence, sessions that resonate, and experiences that linger long after the final roll in the form of friendships, memories, and moments that stay with us. My love for storytelling began with my father’s voice. He had a way of narrating tales that filled a room with magic. Every pause, every glance, every word carried meaning. That feeling never left me, and it is what I have been chasing ever since, to recreate that sense of wonder at the table. As a parent raising a child with autism and ADHD, or as I like to say, with a vibrant and unique view of the world, I have learned to listen with more than just ears. Patience, empathy, and presence have become part of who I am. They have also taught me how much people sometimes need a pause, a breath, a moment away from everything pressing in. That is what running a game means to me: offering a space to land, to catch a breath, and to let imagination and joy flourish. A space where time slows down just enough for our inner child to step forward and play again. I manage my tables with a balance of structure, rhythm, and fairness, giving the story room to breathe and the world space to respond. Every choice matters, every silence has weight, and every spark of connection has the chance to grow. This is what I bring to the table. I am the GM who brings people together through story. Connection, immersion, and commitment are at the heart of everything I run. When you sit at my table, you are not only stepping into a world of adventure, you are stepping into a place where stories turn into memories and players turn into companions. If this sounds like the story you have been wanting to step into, then come. Your seat is waiting, and our journey is about to begin.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation takes place in Session 0. We will review the campaign’s themes, safety tools, and party dynamics before building characters together. This is the time to ask questions, shape concepts, and make sure the group fits well before the fog rolls in. You are welcome to arrive with a full build, a rough idea, or nothing at all. I will guide you step by step if you are new.. 📚 Resources Archive of Nethys – complete PF2e rules reference: https://2e.aonprd.com/ Abomination Vault Player’s Guide (free PDF): https://downloads.paizo.com/AbominationVaults_PlayersGuide.pdf Helps you create thematic characters tied to the AP For newer players, the Beginner Box: Hero’s Handbook will also be provided to help familiarize yourself with the core rules of Pathfinder 2e. Additionally, the Pathfinder 2e: Guide to the Guides resources are available to assist with builds and character creation approaches. 🛠️ Tools Pathbuilder 2e (for creation and management): https://pathbuilder2e.com/app.html?v=96c Keeps the process smooth and ensures all rules are tracked correctly.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Before we begin, please make sure you’re set up with the following: A free Sqyre account – the game is hosted on Foundry via Forge A Discord account – used for voice chat and session coordination A working microphone and either a reasonably quiet environment or the ability to use push-to-talk A stable internet connection – Foundry requires consistent bandwidth to function properly A computer capable of running Foundry VTT in a browser (Chrome or Firefox recommended) Access to Pathbuilder 2e – we’ll use this for character creation and progression

What Firehouse Games brings to the table

As a GM, I focus on delivering a polished, immersive experience using high-quality assets and tools. When you join this game, here’s what you can expect: 🎞️ Premium Foundry VTT modules 🎵 Ambient music, soundscapes, and triggered sound effects 🔥 Combat animations, spell effects, and dynamic lighting 🗺️ High-resolution maps with fog of war, lighting, and elevation 🛠️ Fully hosted on Forge VTT, accessible 24/7 For a system like Pathfinder 2e, I prefer to stick closely to the rules. The mechanics are masterfully designed, and I believe they create exciting, fair, and rewarding gameplay when used as written. If you enjoy a system that respects your tactical choices and offers depth at every level, you’ll feel right at home here.

Safety

How Firehouse Games creates a safe table

Before play begins, we’ll take a few minutes to talk about comfort levels and anything that might be off-limits or triggering. I use simple safety tools such as make sure everyone feels comfortable and respected. everything in need of attention can be discussed before, during or after each session. If anyone is new to Foundry VTT or Pathfinder 2e, I can also give a quick guided tour so you know what to expect. During and after each session, players are welcome to reach out privately if there’s anything they’d like adjusted. The goal is simple: a welcoming table where everyone can relax, have fun, and feel supported as we tell the story together.
