About the adventure
This campaign is a level 1-14 epic fantasy for 5e set in ancient Greece-inspired Thylea. You will brush shoulders with gods, royals, and ancient titans. You will contend with binding oaths and powerful curses as fate and prophesy are ever-present forces guiding the lives of gods and mortals alike. Creating your character
During Session 0 we will talk about character creation and go over the world and the different epic paths available. It's good to come with an idea of what you might like to play, but you do not need to have a fully formed character yet. Characters can be fully built within Foundry and you can also import from dndbeyond if that is your preference. If you need help with character creation in any way I'm always happy to help! - Using the 2014 DnD 5e rules (not the new version) - Start at level 1 - Point buy or standard array - Characters created in Foundry during session 0 - Standard equipment - All official WotC sources are allowed - All races and classes unique to Odyssey of the Dragonlords are allowed - Reflavouring is free. Any changes to a character for story rather than mechanical purposes is allowed and encouraged. Just run it by me first. - Each character will select an Epic Path. A mix of background, world connections, and goals that will embed your character firmly in the land of Thylea. The Epic Paths provide personal direction, rewards, and connections. These paths will each be personalized to make them fit your character perfectly.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be playing using Foundry VTT for the virtual tabletop as well as Discord for audio and video. Webcam required. What you need: - stable internet - microphone - webcam - a Discord account (discord.gg) - a Forge account (forge-vtt.com) - a computer to run Foundry (phones/tablets do not work with Foundry, unfortunately) - a love of DnD

How Josh | DM ganof creates a safe table
Odyssey of the Dragonlords is heavily inspired by Greek myths. For all of the fun inherent to such a theme there can also be negative subjects which I have no desire to include in my campaign. Any systemic racism and slavery as well as personal bigotry has been removed from the campaign. We will have a session 0 before beginning the campaign where we go over all of our safety tools to make sure that everyone is comfortable and has fun throughout the whole campaign. Each session will feature a short break at about the halfway mark.
