About the adventure

▌│█║▌║▌║ 🕹️ THE GAME 🕹️ ║▌║▌║█│▌ 𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐅𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐄𝐒 is a Cowboy Bebop-inspired Fabula Ultima campaign for 4 players. — 𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐇 𝐈𝐒 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐇𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄. — During the second year of the Solar Era, the first hyperspace gateway—built in orbit around Earth's moon, Luna—was destroyed. The explosion shattered a massive portion of the moon, sending lunar debris outward. Much of it was pulled into Earth's gravity, causing meteor showers as frequent as rain. The impact led to massive casualties and the destruction of most of Earth's surface infrastructure. This has left Earth mostly uninhabitable, allowing the Mars Federation to take over. — 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒. — It is now 180 S.E., two decades after the second devastating Martian-Belter War. The scars of conflict still linger, but people have grown accustomed to the illusion of peace. With most factions still recovering, law enforcement has thinned, and the void between planets has become a hunting ground. Piracy, bounty hunting, and mercenary work aren’t just common—they’re a way of life. You play as 𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒—mercenaries and bounty hunters born out of the newfound lawlessness of the solar system. ▌│█║▌║▌║ ✨ WHAT TO EXPECT ✨ ║▌║▌║█│▌ 💠 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 thanks to Foundry's automations. 💠 A 𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐔𝐀𝐋-𝐍𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐋 𝐒𝐓𝐘𝐋𝐄 experience. 💠 RPG-style 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐁𝐀𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒. 💠 A 𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐊 tailored to the adventure.

About me

> /𝚕𝚘𝚐𝚒𝚗▮ > 𝙲𝚘𝚗𝚗𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐... > 𝚆𝚎𝚕𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚎, [𝚞𝚜𝚎𝚛]. Hello and welcome! I'm Mildew, a nerd who's addicted to tabletop RPGs. It started out with my friend introducing me to D&D during the pandemic, now I've ended up running more games and more systems. I've always had an interest in storytelling, stemming from my love of movies, shows, and anime. I grew up in a place where tabletop RPGs weren't even in our vocabulary— an extremely niche hobby. I remember back in grade school we used to play these "paper games", where we made up characters, and make them fight NPCs. No dice, just feels. Now, having discovered the wonderful world of tabletop RPGs, I now have the perfect outlet for all the pent up creative energy I've had. I get to bring in my love for movies and anime through creating dramatic scenes, visualizing them, and finding the right piece of music to go along with it. I get to bring in my love for video games and JRPGs by designing homebrew mechanics and combat. It's just all of my interests consolidated into one. Most of all, I love that collaborative experience, that feeling of having built something together. I look forward to creating a wonderful story with you!

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will be done through a separate session zero of the game. 💠 Level 5 PCs 💠 Classes from the CRB and Atlases are allowed. 💠 Ace of Cards and Necromancer are NOT allowed.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

▌│█║▌║▌║ THINGS YOU'LL NEED ║▌║▌║█│▌ 💠 A browser (preferably Chrome or Firefox) and a semi-decent desktop/laptop. 💠 Discord for audio and above table chatter. 💠 Let me know in advance if you're mobile only/don't have access to Foundry!

What Mildew brings to the table

My GMing style is pretty lenient, especially on the narrative side. I want my players to feel like they're main characters of a JRPG or anime. During combat, I'll be strict with the rules, as Fabula Ultima's combat mechanics are very tight. I work hard on my presentation, and I'll provide visuals through Foundry, with a visual novel inspired layout, as well as music catered to the adventure.

Homebrew rules

I won't be using any homebrew rules, but I will be using the Playtest Variant study and initiative rules, which I'll explain during session zero.
