About the adventure
Rome, 300 AD. The Eternal City teeters on the edge of transformation. Emperors rise and fall with the sun. Cults whisper in the shadows. The old gods are dying. And beneath it all, the Kindred continue their plots. In IMPERIUM SANGUINIS, you are newly Embraced: unproven, unloved, and utterly expendable. Thrown into a world of decadence and decay, you must carve your place in the vampire society of Rome. Navigate treacherous alliances, serve (or betray) the ancients who rule from the vast Necropolis, and decide what you're willing to sacrifice to rise in this blood-soaked empire. Swear loyalty, whisper treason, and bleed for power. The Pax Romana is dead, and only one law remains: Dominate, or be devoured.

About me
Building cities that bleed since 2005. Hi, I'm Marko. You're here because you're curious and I'm here because I love to tell stories. I've been doing it for two decades, mostly focusing on Vampire: The Masquerade and Vampire: The Requiem, with a bit of Mass Effect as a palate cleanser. I enjoy dark fantasy and have a heavy focus on roleplay, so my campaigns are always atmospheric and moody, with narration designed to push the players into a truly living world. My background in psychology and teaching helps me focus on each player individually, and I love using music and visual aids to immerse the players even more. The most important thing, however, is this: Escapism is king. There are no thinly veiled allegories in my games, no commentaries on real-world issues, no deliberate parallels to anything. Just a group of people getting together to tell a story full of drama and conflict, and have fun doing it. In my experience, this simple truth keeps the table safe and enjoyable. I've linked my YouTube channel below, feel free to check out some of my campaign trailers, character intros, etc. Also, come hang out on Discord! https://discord.gg/kDxMeaEsSM

Creating your character
Character creation will happen during Session 0. If you're new to Vampire the Requiem 2nd Edition, we'll go over all the details then. Any character concept that fits into the timeframe of the campaign is welcome. If you have an idea for a character and want to talk about it before the session, I'm available to message on Discord. As the chronicle starts, the characters have been vampires for a month and are sailing to Rome from Greece.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
DISCORD - Pretty much everything happens here. Materials, pictures, dice rolls, it all goes through Discord. You'll need a microphone and a decent Internet connection. Cameras are optional, but welcome. IMAGINATION - Of course. No knowledge of the system or setting is required. A burning desire to rise through the ranks of the undead society of Rome is more than enough. You can find all necessary resources on our Discord when you join the chronicle.
What Marko [Anaxis Games] brings to the table
Drama! My games heavily focus on roleplay, with deep and meaningful interactions between characters. Additionally, I bring a free Session 0, custom artwork for all important NPCs and locations, an atmospheric soundtrack and character voices, as well as two decades of experience of running games. Requiem for Rome is a very forgiving system with not a lot of crunch behind it, which is perfect for those toga-fluttering-in-the-wind Rule of Cool moments.

Safety
How Marko [Anaxis Games] creates a safe table
Ancient Rome wasn't the most fun place to live, to put it lightly. Player safety is clearly of great importance here, so we'll go over the lines, veils etc. during Session 0. I have an open door policy and incorporate breaks into sessions as needed. For any additional concerns, questions etc., I'm available to message on Discord.
