About me
Hi there! I’m Allen, and I’ve been running D&D 5.5e campaigns for quite a while now. I fell in love with the game’s unique ability to tell stories in such a dynamic and immersive way, which led me to dive deep into the world of TTRPG podcasts. Some of my favorites are *Worlds Beyond Number*, *NADDPOD*, and *Dimension 20*, which inspire me to craft epic adventures of my own. I’m also eager to explore other game systems like *Call of Cthulhu* and *Monster of the Week*, and I’m always looking for new ways to challenge both myself and my players. I’m most at home in my homebrew world, Primordia—a place ravaged by a massive magical explosion centuries ago. Players find themselves unearthing ancient mysteries as they navigate a world still rebuilding from the devastation. The rich history and untold stories of Primordia are at the heart of my campaigns, and I pride myself on my ability to improvise and come up with unique, engaging storylines for my players to experience. When I’m not running TTRPGs, you’ll find me enjoying baseball. My goal is to visit all 30 Major League ballparks—I’ve made it to 15 so far, and my team is the Cincinnati Reds! I’m also an avid gardener and have been working to transform my front lawn into a lush space full of native plants. It’s a project I’m passionate about, and I love watching it come to life. Creating your character
Players will be responsible for creating their own characters using the 2024 D&D 5e rules and sharing a copy of their character sheet with the Game Master before Session 0. To assist with character creation and leveling, players will have access to my campaign on D&D Beyond. The adventure will begin at level 1. All relevant links and additional information will be available on our Discord.

Required: -A microphone (any mic will do) -A Roll20 account (the free version is perfectly fine) -A Discord account Recommended: -A webcam (optional, but adds to the experience) -A D&D Beyond account to access the 2024 Player’s Handbook -A note-taking device (pen and paper, digital document, etc.)
What Allen brings to the table
Players will have access to the 2024 D&D 5e rules through my campaign on D&D Beyond. For voice communication, we’ll use Discord, with optional video—I'll have my camera on to help create a more immersive experience. Ambient music will also be played through Discord via a bot to set the mood. For maps and tokens, we’ll use Roll20, where you can expect detailed battle maps and unique tokens for both enemies and players. As a Game Master, I embrace the "rule of cool" philosophy, so if you have a bold or outlandish idea, we'll work together to bring it to life. I encourage players to fully embody their characters, as long as we remain respectful of everyone's time, boundaries, and the collaborative storytelling experience. I also invite players to use the rich lore of Primordia to shape and deepen their character’s backstory—it's something I love incorporating into the campaign.

How Allen creates a safe table
All players are required to complete a Lines and Veils survey prior to Session 0. The lines and veils will be shared in a common space where everyone can access them, ensuring that sensitive topics are respectfully avoided during gameplay. We’ve integrated X and O cards into Roll20, and we'll go over how to use them during Session 0. Additionally, I will be available for aftercare on Discord and following each session, to ensure everyone feels supported. We will speak more on safety tools and player expectations during session 0.
