About me
Your story, my world. Let's make something unforgettable. I've been running TTRPG campaigns professionally for over a decade, and here's what I've learned: the best stories happen when your choices actually matter. I don't write scripts. I don't railroad. I build Etharis; a living, breathing high-fantasy world with deep immersive lore and marks left by all my past tables, where the game system is just a means to tell our tale; and then I hand you the wheel. You want to betray the quest-giver? Burn down the tavern? Charm the villain and turn them into an ally? You can certainly try. I come from a background in film and game art, so I treat every session like a production. Professional VTT setup (Foundry), custom maps, reference art, and enough prep to improvise anything you throw at me. Whether you're a veteran looking for deep roleplay or a newbie who wants to learn in a welcoming space, I'll meet you where you are. My games go from gritty intrigue to bombastic heroism; with just enough absurdity to keep us laughing years later. If you want a GM who listens, adapts, and narrates stories with you instead of at you, let's talk.

Creating your character
We'll have a short session 0 prior to the game. Homebrew is allowed and customization or reflavoring is encouraged. Bring an idea of the character you'd like to play to our session 0, we'll work with other players to find hooks that join everyone together, sharing character secrets or rumors and focusing on the story and the feel of the characters. Characters will begin their adventure with 1 common consumable item and a custom crafted magical item that is of significance to them. This magical item will gain the opportunity to grow, improve and evolve during the adventure, growing in power with you.

Homebrew rules
**Crucible of Fate** Everyone will roll a D6 at the beginning of a session. On a roll of 1 to 3, they belong to the player's pool, otherwise, they go to the GM pool. After rolling any D20, but before knowing the results, players may use any number of Fate dice available in their pool, adding them to the total result. Once a die has been used, it goes to the opposing dice pool. Some character abilities may require the use of Fate dice. **Deadly criticals** On a natural 20 attack roll, weapons and features deal full damage and roll their dice on top of it. **Soft criticals** When an attack exceeds the AC by 10 or more, all damage dice are maxed. The damage benefit can be changed into a grappling or shoving check on top of the regular attack's damage. **Heroic spellcasting** As long as a leveled spell is used as an action, a non-damaging cantrip may be used as a bonus action. **Actually useful helpers** The help action can only be provided if a creature is proficient in the skill check. **Alternative skills** Players can request to use a different stat for a skill check as long as it's justified by narrative. **Druidic knowledge** Druids can roll nature with wisdom as their stats. **Clerical understanding** Clerics can roll their religion checks using wisdom instead. **A sip of that** Creatures may drink potions as a bonus action. If they use their action instead, they gain the full benefits of the item, without rolling. **Life improvements** Living a good lifestyle will grant bonuses like temporal hp, additional hit dice, etc. depending on the type of pleasure and the cost of it. **Evolving cantrips** Your non-scaling cantrips will get better as you level up, based on the [Evolving cantrips PDF]( https://drive.google.com/file/d/1R1BhBtKxTHR4WfsIkX5nKnXgkCj9CeXa/view?usp=drivesdk) **Heroic points** As a reward to daring actions, great roleplay, or amazing ideas, you'll be awarded a heroic point, which can be used as a free action to gain one of the following: - An automatic success. - Infuse double damage on an attack check - Make one normal action as a legendary action outside of your turn. - Bend the rules of the world slightly These unique effects must be described as an epic moment. **Ritual resurrection** Except for revivify, any other resurrection magic will require a ritual, where multiple creatures make skill checks. **True curses** The remove curse spell only shows you the way of removing a curse, be it a ritual, a quest or any other form of story development. **Clashing mana** When a spell is dispelled or counterspelled, there's a chance for the magic to cause a random mishap. **Working economy** Monetary values for the setting have been adjusted to reflect a real working economy, with actual uses for copper and silver coins in everyday life and lower levels. **A whole new world** The species of Etharis have been changed from traditional 5e D&D. Racial traits have a place and impact on the lore, life and religion.

How Martin (The Fate weaver) creates a safe table
During our session 0 we'll go over the setting and the safety tools to be used, which may be shared in the public text channel for the campaign, or requested privately through DM. We'll also fill a consent checklist to make sure no uncomfortable surprises happen, and introduce the line and veils safety tool. After each session we'll take 10 minutes to go over wishes and requests for characters to go through, as well as a little bit of feedback.
