About the adventure
Do you want to go on a classic fantasy adventure? In this semi-open-world sandbox campaign set in the Forgotten Realms, players will be able to embark on epic quests, build bastions, create new magic items, invent original spells, and more. This casual Dungeons and Dragons adventure is for those who want to tell a story about their characters and their choices, and whatever consequences they have in store. Will you fight an evil king, slay a tyrannical dragon, or be swept up in a royal scandal? Only time will tell, and only you will get to decide that story!

Meet the Game Master
About me
Greetings, My name is Gabriel Mathis. If you have me as your GM, you will find that I am creative, personable, and a bit theatrical. In my games, you can expect to experience intriguing mysteries, engaging roleplay, and countless opportunities to have your character *Shine*! I do hope you consider joining me and my players for an exciting Dungeons & Dragons and Dagger Heart adventure.

Creating your character
We will create characters using the 2024 rule set during session 0, or with me personally if you're joining further into the game. Homebrew is allowed; in fact, it's encouraged to make your ideal character. However, any homebrew must be reviewed by me to ensure balance, and I reserve the right to make changes to any homebrew for the same reason.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a Discord and Roll20 account for this campaign.
What Gabriel brings to the table
I use Dungeon Scrawl Pro and a Roll20 Elite account to ensure a fun and immersive experience for my players, along with custom tokens and more!
Homebrew rules
Perkin's Crit. When you land a critical Hit, you roll for damage and add the maximum damage to the total. Martial Spell Casting. All martial classes (Fighter, Rogue, Barbarian, Monk) can choose to gain an optional spell casting feature at level 3. This spellcasting feature grants the same spell progression as Eldritch Knight or Arcane Trickster with access to the Wizard, Cleric, or Druid spell list. If a player chooses a subclass that grants spellcasting, then spell progression is upgraded to match the level of half-casters, such as Paladin or Ranger. The reason for this is to somewhat close the power gap between Martials and Full-casters. Modified Barbarians Rage. Barbarians can now cast spells while in their rage; however, they still cannot concentrate on spells.

How Gabriel creates a safe table
Will be having session 0 at the start of the campaign to make characters, discuss player expectations of the GM, and more. When the game reaches the 2-hour mark, we take a short 20 to 35 minute break. Players will also fill out a lines and veils sheet to ensure the campaign is comfortable for all players.
