Character creation

Creating your character

A session 0 will be afforded to you to help establish themes and expectations for the campaign. Starting Level 3 2024 Rule Set - Point Buy Stat Generation 2024 Species and MoM/VRGtR Races Allowed. Homebrew resources allowed upon my review.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Discord is the only strict requirement needed to play. All the game will be done through FoundryVTT, which does not require that you create an account. A tutorial will be provided for anyone unfamiliar with FoundryVTT.

What Jacob Barlow brings to the table

Story is king at my table. Ensuring that you feel a sense of narrative fulfillment will be priority one. Accompanying it will be an array of hand-curated soundtracks and personally practiced voices of each NPC throughout the Lands of Mist. Rules will generally lean towards as written, however there will be many exceptions for obvious interactions or things that would feel much more fulfilling story/experience. Combats will range from simply, narratively informative encounters to grueling, tactical skirmishes.

How Jacob Barlow creates a safe table

Session 0 will address all themes relative to the campaign and seek to sift out any X, N, and O's that might be present. There will also be an in-game mechanic to present an X-Card if a certain topic matter is presented to put an immediate halt to it.
