About the adventure

Panic grips Professor Baldrik Hammerforge as the members of his last expedition begin dying under mysterious circumstances. A year ago, he journeyed deep into the untamed jungles of Q’barra, returning with tales of ancient ruins and a strange relic known as the Eye of K’halrra. Now, fearing for his life, he has called upon old friends and trusted allies, you, to help him return the artifact and break the deadly curse before it claims them all. Will this new expedition bring redemption, or doom you all to share their fate? Across six to nine sessions, your characters (levels 3 to 6) will brave the wild jungles, face deadly beasts like the ferocious dinosaurs of Q’barra, explore long-forgotten ruins, and uncover the ancient secrets buried within. Expect thrilling combat, treacherous exploration, and clever puzzles that will test both mind and might. This campaign is beginner-friendly, welcoming new adventurers to Eberron while offering plenty of excitement and challenge for experienced players. Premade characters are available, so all you need to bring is your sense of discovery and your courage.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will quickly create the characte on Foundry during our session 0. But you are more than welcome to arrive with ideas, built and backstory. I will be available before session 0 to discuss character with you if you need. Here are the guideline we will follow - Start at Level 3 - Use the Standard Array for ability scores - You may start with 100 GP and up to 2 common magic items - Material from large third-party publishers is permitted but subject to my approval - We will be using the 2024 rules

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You’ll need a Discord account to join the session. I’ll send you an invite link before the game. You don’t need a Foundry account. I’ll provide a direct link so you can connect when the game begins. I will provide a video explaining how Foundry works. You will need an internet connection and a microphone. Webcams are preferred, as they tend to make the game more immersive, but they are optional. Please send me your character sheet at least one hour before the game starts so I have time to set it up in Foundry.

Safety

How Mikael G. Ste Marie creates a safe table

Player safety is very important to me, and I want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable during the game. Before we play, I’ll send you a short form to indicate what content is okay, what feels risky, and what topics are off-limits (using the Lines and Veils approach). I also use a Foundry module that allows players to discreetly signal if something feels uncomfortable during the session. Finally, I have a strict zero-tolerance policy against any form of player harassment or abuse.
