About the adventure

When you were young, you visited a strange and wondrous carnival, a place of laughter, illusions, and whispered secrets. It felt like a dream. But when you returned home, something important was missing. What it was soon slipped from your mind, and you could never explain what had happened. The carnival itself vanished without a trace. Now, many years later, it has returned. Drawn by fate or perhaps unfinished business, you find yourself once again at the gates of the Witchlight Carnival. Here the air hums with music, the stalls are full of curious games, and every smile hides a hint of mystery. Yet this is only the beginning. Behind the masks and the glittering lights lies a path into the Feywild itself, leading to a fractured domain called Prismeer, where joy has faded and stories have unravelled. This adventure is a fairy tale woven with whimsy and wonder, inspired by Alice in Wonderland and classic folklore. Expect to cross swords with mischievous harengon, encounter cunning hags and powerful fey lords, and bargain with talking animals whose words carry secrets. The landscapes you travel through will be surreal and shifting, shaped by emotion as much as reality. Every choice carries weight, and every encounter may change the story forever. Whether it is your first time at the table or your hundredth, the Witchlight beckons. Step inside, play the games, lose yourself in the mystery, and perhaps, at last, you will find what was lost.

About me

I’m a creative easy going human in his 30’s based in rainy England. A little about me… I’m an arty, corgi dad who started playing ttrpgs in the dark times of Covid, quickly progressed from intrepid hero to Gm after watching way too much CR and D20, I started with 5e and have progressed into the new 24/5.5 what ever you wish to call it rules, and have recently started dabbling in Daggerheart. My games are collaborative, and rule of cool is key! I want to help bring the stories you want to tell to the table, and if the core rules don’t do it I’m happy to introduce homebrew/ third party content to help bring it to life (providing it isn’t utterly broken) In my spare time I am partial to coffee, drawing characters and gaming! But most importantly of all I am a corgi papa and he does like to add his own sound effects sometimes too…

Character creation

Creating your character

• Character creation will happen in Session Zero – but feel free to come with ideas beforehand. • We’ll be using the 2024 rules. • Stats: Standard Array. • Options: All official core content is welcome. Third-party and homebrew are allowed but must be checked with me first. • Starting level: 1. Bring your creativity — we’ll shape the party together during Session Zero!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

• Download Discord and have an account ready, as that is where the game will take place • Create a free D&D Beyond account so you can access shared content and character sheets • Have a microphone and either headphones or speakers for voice chat • Ensure you have a stable internet connection, since this is an online game That is all you need. No fancy setup is required, just bring your character idea and your sense of adventure.

What Iggy brings to the table

• D&D Beyond Master Tier subscription, giving you access to a large library of official and approved third-party books • Custom homebrew options, with the freedom to create unique character choices if you would like something special • An immersive atmosphere, including ambient music and a dedicated Discord server for smooth play • Dynamic combat, featuring tactical maps (including Czepeku maps) run through D&D Beyond • Rule of Cool, with fun and cinematic moments always taking priority over strict rules • Engaging NPC's, with characters brought to life through voices and personality (though they may sometimes shift a little between sessions)

Safety

How Iggy creates a safe table

I always begin with a Session Zero, where we set expectations together, discuss boundaries, and ensure everyone feels comfortable with the themes in play. I use tools such as the Deck of Safety to highlight topics we may want to avoid or approach with care. During sessions, I check in with players and encourage open communication if something is not working. Breaks are built in at the halfway point, and anyone is welcome to call for a pause at any time. My goal is to create a table where everyone feels safe, respected, and free to focus on the fun of telling great stories together.
