About the adventure
Long ago, a cosmic god slain by his adversary fell from the heavens, creating a new landmass in the middle of the great ocean. A high wizard led an expedition to the newly formed island and was never seen again. It was believed that he and his party were lost to the savage sea. As additional parties were formed to explore the island and rescue the original group, none returned. The island was declared cursed and the expeditions to it ceased. Years later, the ships thought lost began to return to their ports of origin, but what was to be a joyous reunion turned to horrible conquest, as the original crewmembers, along with foul creatures began kidnapping citizens, dragging them back to their boats and slaughtering anyone who resisted without mercy. As time went on the ships returned, each time demanding tribute of workers and materials, laying waste to the land when denied (and even if their cruel demands were met). Shortly after, the dark forces took over the lands, establishing strongholds and labor camps to serve one dark purpose: to build a tower that would cast a shadow upon the entire world... You are born into this world. However, there is something different about you. You have something nobody else possesses: Hope. But will that be enough to save the world from this terrible evil? There's only one way to find out...

I love creating exciting new experiences for my players and really pushing the bounds of their creativity through interesting storytelling, exploration, and combat. I've been running and playing games such as Daggerheart, Dungeons and Dragons(5e), Draw Steel, Pathfinder(2e), and Mothership for several years now. I enjoy introducing people to the hobby and as such, those who join up for my games are also entitled to off-table assistance regarding character creation, rules, in-game mechanics, or any other game related help at any time. Creating your character
Characters will be created in Foundry VTT. We will start at level 1. Options provided by the new "The Void" update WILL be available for your character creation. Would-be brawlers and witches rejoice!

Preparing for the session
We will use Discord for all communications both in game and out of game, so a free account will be required. If you do not have an account, you can create one here: https://discord.com To access the game world, you will need an account with The Forge. What Jeff brings to the table
We will be utilizing Foundry VTT software via The Forge. The experience will feature animated battle maps, animated spells, fog of war/line of sight as well as darkness mechanics, ambient sounds, music, and more. I generally stick to rules as written, but common sense will override text and I award creative and clever players. I also provide a discreet open door policy as well as off-table support for questions or other game-related topics via Discord. PLEASE READ: My goal is to provide my players with the most enjoyable experience possible. This is an ADULT table, and I expect my players act as such, treating EVERYONE with DIGNITY and RESPECT. So long as you can meet these simple conditions, you are welcome at my games. Those that fail to do so will be BANNED with NO REFUND.

How Jeff creates a safe table
We will have a general outline of what's expected as well as what will be blacklisted from the campaign during session 0. Each player will be provided with a sheet to fill out to cover anything else. If there is ANYTHING you do not feel comfortable with or are triggered by, let me know via DM and we will IMMEDIATELY adjust and take any appropriate actions (table break, etc). After every session we will take an additional 15-20 minutes to debrief, give feedback, etc. And of course, you are always welcome to message me on Discord. Any information such as triggers discussed between a player and myself will REMAIN between my player and myself, with the table only being informed that the particular item or subject is disallowed. THERE WILL BE NO MALICE AT MY GAMES AND EVERY PLAYER WILL BE TREATED WITH RESPECT. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN A BAN FROM THE CURRENT GAME AS WELL AS ALL FUTURE GAMES I RUN.
