About the adventure

Vibe Cozy. Heartfelt. Imaginative. Inviting. Theme In this shortish campaign, we'll play through a year in the remote mountain village of Swallow's Rest. The characters are almost-ordinary folk who are part of a close-knit community of people who enjoy the simple pleasures of rustic life, support one another, and are aware that the surrounding land offers both bounty and hazards. They notice the little miracles in life, be it the song of a babbling brook, the mystery of a golden-headed magpie, or a visit from a mischievous mountain sprite. I recommend this game to players who enjoy immersion in a world close to nature, who like to interact with their fellow players, and who are happy to have space for their imagination to add to the world and to the story. Rules Legend in the Mist is a story-focused roleplaying game that uses tags (short phrases). These capture the key features of the characters and serve as the basis for dice rolls. It is an intuitive, easy-to-grasp system, which encourages the story to go wherever the players take it and the characters to evolve wherever the story takes them. Logistics In addition to the first, free Session 0, I expect to have 8 sessions, two for each season. This will give us time to craft a complete story together without requiring commitment for an indefinite period. If there's interest, the story can continue past the initial year. We will focus on experiencing the story together, seeing one another’s faces on the screen as if we were together in person.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will create the characters together at the free Session 0. I will provide 10 premade characters to help with character creation.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Please have a Discord account. I will send you an invite to my Discord server where we'll play. You'll be able to roll on Discord, but if you enjoy rolling physical dice, feel free to bring some! (2 six-sided dice are needed) Please have stable Internet connection and working microphone and camera.

What GM Gwen brings to the table

I'll bring premade characters, a summary of the rules, and some evocative art. I'm also available for discussion, clarification or character customization prior to and during the game. The story focuses on collaboration, nature and wonder; combat is not an essential component. I use the simpler rules provided by the system to keep the story flowing. Rolls can be made either in Discord or using physical dice.
