About the adventure
All heroes born in this world share a single purpose: to climb the Pit to carve out a better life for those trapped in the depthless hole they call home. At the bottom of this colossal well lies a city cloaked in shadow, where strange anomalies twist the world beyond its gates. Those who venture outward will find themselves in an endless labyrinth of impossible terrain, eerie phenomena, monstrous entities, and cryptic puzzles. It falls to you and your fellow adventurers to face the horrors that lurk beyond the walls, to chart a path forward, and to forge hope where none remains so that one day, the people of this doomed city might finally see the light above. This campaign is designed for players who crave challenge, mystery, and tension. If you enjoy solving intricate puzzles, surviving harsh encounters, and unraveling dark lore, this is the world for you. Expect themes of dread, struggle, and perseverance in the face of hopelessness. Victory here must be earned through courage, cunning, and teamwork. I aim to keep suspense real and stakes high. Every roll matters success often comes at a cost, and failure carries weight. Progress will demand teamwork, resourcefulness, and sacrifice. If a party ever falls in battle, their memory will not fade; future adventurers will follow in their footsteps, benefiting from what was learned through their bravery and loss. This world is built upon the bones and triumphs of those who came before. Session Length: 3 to 3.25 hours Game Style: Story-driven, challenge-oriented, puzzle and exploration heavy Tone: Dark, atmospheric, and strategic Each session’s length may vary depending on combat, puzzle-solving, or the significance of ongoing NOTE: Session 0 and 1 will be free to all who join.

About me
I love board games, gaming and CAD design. I often print things using a 3D printer and code here and there for small household projects. I picked up Dungeons and Dragons as a way to connect with friends and share experiences. I have around 4 years of Dungeons and Dragons 5e GMing and still continuing a campaign with the friends that I have met in college. I have both years of experience of playing virtual tabletop and in person tabletop games and have gained the experience needed to keep my players engaged and wanting to learn more about the world.

Creating your character
Character creation will take place during Session 0, where we’ll work together as a group to discuss party composition, roles, and class choices. This ensures everyone has a balanced and fun experience right from the start. If you can’t attend Session 0, don’t worry I’m happy to meet with you individually to develop your character’s story, mechanics, and place in the world. Together, we’ll make sure your hero fits naturally into the campaign’s tone and setting. Starting Level: 5 Your characters begin at level 5 to represent seasoned adventurers ready to face the Pit’s early challenges while still having room to grow. Character Sheets: All characters must be created and managed through D&D Beyond. Access: Players will receive a free campaign membership with full access to all allowed sourcebooks and materials. Bring your creativity, your questions, and your ideas Session 0 is all about building the foundation for your character’s legend in the depths of the Pit.

What Tevin brings to the table
music will be used that will fit the atmosphere. As well as creative combat that will allow for fun combos and unique play styles with the environment around them. NPC will be interactive and creative giving a time to build potential bonds or enemys. You may want to expect some puzzles. I read the room. If the table wants a rules as written experience then we will stick to that, but if the table is looking to chill and have fun then I can play the rule of cool.
Homebrew rules
Most homebrew rules and table guidelines will be discussed and finalized during Session 0, giving everyone a chance to contribute ideas and ensure fair play. However, one rule is set in stone to preserve the campaign’s suspense and atmosphere: The spell Revivify is banned. The spell Silvery Barbs is banned.

Safety
How Tevin creates a safe table
At the beginning of the session I'll be sure to go over some safety rules. to make sure everyone's comfortable and any fears or discomforts will be addressed ahead of time to ensure that the session is lighthearted and fun. Above all else, this campaign values player safety, comfort, and enjoyment. There will always be an open-door policy meaning no one is ever pressured to attend every session or stay for the entire game. Life happens, and your comfort comes first. You will never be charged for missing a session. If you need to step away early or take time off, that’s completely fine. I will use creative in-game methods to handle absences smoothly, keeping your character’s story respected and intact. No player should ever feel pressured by me or by others to stay longer than they wish. This campaign thrives on cooperation, consent, and communication. My goal is to make The Pit a space where everyone can explore, take risks, and tell powerful stories without sacrificing their comfort or well-being.
