About the adventure
It’s a dangerous world, you know? Well, you could use that as an excuse and spend the rest of your life in your isolated village, planting potatoes and watching the seasons come and go. What am I saying? Of course you won’t! Roll up your tent and your bedroll, grab your old, rusty grandfather’s sword from the wars against the devious Sky Wizard, gather those twelve gold coins you’ve been saving your whole life, and let’s hit the road! You see that peak? No one even knows its name! Let’s go there and discover it — and if it doesn’t have one, let’s give it one! What? Climbing unexplored mountains isn’t for you? Well, we could investigate those rumors about the gem-filled plains to the west of the Great Ravine. A wandering trader coming from those parts told me that on every moonless night, the earth there shines brighter than any star — but gruesome howls echo for miles during the witching hours. Really? That doesn’t sound like a good idea to you? Alright, you win. Pick a direction, and we’ll follow it. Throw a stick in the air, feel where the wind blows, and start walking. Everyone who’s ever done that either ended up sung about in legends… or never heard from again. Better than planting potatoes, if you ask me.

About me
I'm a Brazilian biologist and a longtime GM. I've been running RPGs for the better part of the last couple of decades, and I consider myself quite successful at it. I've run just about everything—from the most famous games to local one-page RPGs. I've played at conventions, professionally, on streams, and for hundreds of newcomers. I love bringing people into the hobby, and I consider that my strongest skill as a GM. If you want to explore the world of RPGs, try out a new game, or return to a hobby you once loved, I would be delighted and honored to help. The cover art is by the great artist — and my personal friend — Marcel Budde. Follow him on social media! https://bsky.app/profile/marbudde.bsky.social

Creating your character
The beauty of DCC is that your character is completely random and easy to create. We use an online tool called Purple Sorcerer, which automatically generates your character sheets. I can also provide ready-made characters if you prefer.

What Mr. Sun (☀️) brings to the table
I’ll bring to the table a concrete, well-crafted world where your actions and decisions have lasting consequences. The exploration-heavy, gritty OSR playstyle rewards caution and a descriptive approach to problem-solving. I like to encourage my players’ creativity, and I think the rules-light DCC system is a perfect fit for that. I’d love to hear your wildest ideas — turning that lizardfolk combat into a stealthy heist, or using illusions to fake a volcanic eruption and fulfill the prophecies of the Temple of the Floating Mountains. But beware: the fiction bites back at the incautious hand, and a poorly executed plan can turn into the funniest TPK story. Hey, shake it off! Let’s roll up a new character and show those pesky kobolds who’s the boss. And bring some bombs this time around.

How Mr. Sun (☀️) creates a safe table
We’re here to have fun, and safety tools help us avoid unpleasant situations. We’ll use a few tools to ensure everyone feels comfortable and happy. I’ll send you an anonymous form where you can list your lines and veils for the game. Lines are hard boundaries — things you don’t want included at all. If you set a line, I’ll make sure it stays out of our game entirely. Veils are soft limits — themes that may appear but won’t be the focus or shown in detail. Also, feel free to take a break at any time or let me know if something comes up that you’re not okay with. It’s only a good game if it’s good for everyone.
