About the adventure

The world is breaking beneath the weight of endless growth. In the shadowed woods of Fanewick, the seasons have collapsed into eternal spring—flowers bloom without end, beasts grow into towering monstrosities, and creeping vines strangle whole villages overnight. This is the Witherwild, a land where nature’s beauty has turned wild and cruel. Meanwhile, behind the stone walls of Haven, a plague of living petrification has carved statues out of the living, pushing its people to desperation. When the fate of both realms collides, even the unprepared—and the unwilling—must rise to meet the storm. This campaign is about survival, discovery, and the choices made between tradition and progress, nature and civilization. You’ll play as ordinary folk swept into extraordinary circumstances: villagers, soldiers, wanderers, and dreamers, all forced to make a stand when two worlds clash. The story mixes mystery, danger, and wonder—expect eerie forests, strange divinities, and the haunting beauty of lands both cursed and blessed. Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or brand new to tabletop RPGs, this game is designed to welcome everyone. I run with a collaborative, story-driven style, where your characters’ choices matter just as much as the dice. We’ll focus on roleplay, exploration, and teamwork, with combat that feels tense and cinematic rather than overwhelming. And to bring it all to life, we’ll be using a beautifully crafted Virtual Tabletop experience. Expect lush maps, evocative tokens, and hand-picked resources that make the setting feel like you’ve stepped into a living storybook. If you want a campaign that blends dark fantasy with wonder, and if you’re ready to see what happens when the forest itself becomes your greatest enemy, The Witherwild is waiting for you.

About me

Hello. My name is Matheus, but you can can me 'Heavy' or 'Matt' (I know, that in the tabletop community may cause a little bit of confusion). I am a relatively new Game Master from Brazil (🇧🇷) with around 3-4 years experience. In may 2024, a natural disaster struck in my city and I lost my house and my job, so I decided to dive into professional DMing as a way of making ends meet. Preparation is one of my favorite parts of the craft, so expect detailed, beatiful and thematic (battle)maps and encounters and general. Usually going for a good split of combat, exploration and gameplay, rewarding creativity and quick thinking. So get ready to wallop a goblin with an oversized sturgeon and let's get dicin'!
