About the adventure
Welcome to the world of Dungeons & Dragons! In this campaign, we’ll be exploring The Lost Mine of Phandelver, a classic adventure designed to introduce new players to the fundamentals of the game. Whether you’ve never rolled a die before or you’re just looking to refresh your skills, this game will guide you through the essentials — from learning how to make skill checks and roll for combat, to understanding teamwork, creativity, and storytelling in a fantasy world. Set in the rugged frontier region of the Sword Coast, your journey begins as a simple escort mission: deliver a wagon of supplies to the sleepy mining town of Phandalin. But danger lurks along the road — goblin ambushes, missing friends, and rumors of something much more sinister stirring beneath the hills. As you explore mysterious ruins, negotiate with townsfolk, and uncover the secrets of the long-lost mine, you’ll shape the fate of the region through your actions and choices. Players can choose from pre-generated characters to jump right into the action, or bring your own concept and we’ll build your hero together step-by-step. Every session is focused on fun, collaboration, and learning at a comfortable pace — so you can gain confidence with the rules while immersing yourself in a rich, character-driven story. No experience necessary — just bring your curiosity, imagination, and a willingness to roll some dice!

About me
Hey there, adventurers! I go by The Forever DM on Discord, but feel free to call me Nick! I’m 27 years old and have over 13 years of experience playing and running tabletop RPGs, especially D&D and games like it. My style is relaxed, creative, and collaborative. I love running dynamic sandbox campaigns with multiple story threads, tailored to the players’ characters and preferred play styles. Whether it’s a custom world or a published module, I aim to make every session feel personal and engaging. I’m well-versed in both D&D 5e and Pathfinder 2e, and I also run games using the Star Wars 5e conversion. I believe everyone deserves a seat at the table—whether you're a seasoned veteran or brand new to the hobby. My goal is always to create a fun, inclusive space where players feel safe experimenting, exploring, and expressing themselves. My friends know me as a DM who lets chaos reign (within reason!), and I do my best to say “yes, and...” whenever possible. I primarily use Roll20 to run my games, as it's given me the best results in creating immersive, organized sessions. I’ve also run systems like Masks: A New Generation, and I’m always open to learning new ones if it means creating the best experience for my players. More than anything, I want to build lasting memories and foster real camaraderie through shared storytelling. So if that sounds like your kind of table—pull up a chair. Let’s roll some dice and make something unforgettable. All the best, Nick
