About the adventure
The scientific world was amazed by reports from the 1931 Miskatonic University expedition into uncharted Antarctica. The entire world was shocked by the tragedy which followed. Now a new larger expedition will brave the mysteries of the icy continent. How credible were Miskatonic University reports of fossilized remains of ancient life forms predating all known terrestrial life? Will your expedition return in glory or tragedy? This massive advenuture includes considerable source material on the Frozen Continent, the equipment of the time, and even expedition planning. This is a roleplaying sequel to Lovecraft's classic tale, "At the Mountains of Madness", of unimaginable scale.

About me
I discovered roleplaying games way back in the early 1980's through an article in The Fandom Directory (a listing for comic book fans). Soon the introductory D&D boxed set was in my hot little teenaged hands. If was, sadly, difficult to find players for this new hobby. Shortly after college I was fortunate enough to fall into a group of wonderful players and we spent many a night exploring Battletech/Mechwarrior and Cyberpunk 2020. Since that time I've branched out to include many other genres and systems. These days I focus on virtual table tops, recruiting players from various Discord servers. I'm very familiar with Fantasy Grounds, Foundry VTT and Roll20. My favorite is probably Fantasy Grounds although I tend to use Foundry VTT quite a bit (and I prefer to keep it module-lite). I am also an "empty-nester" and can devote myself to lots of RPGs various days of the week.

Creating your character
Once you have joined the game you will receive a link to it. Please create an account with sqyre.app and start the server. From there you will be able to create a character. If all of this is very, very scary, we'll have to do either a private onboarding or you can send me a character via Discord for me to input. I will also have various premades available. I really prefer not to do a Session 0 but would rather jump right into the plot.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will require the following... - A free Discord account. Audio (and sometimes video) is run through Discord and you will need to join my server for that. You will be provided with a link when you sign up. - A Sqyre.app account. Please change your PROFILE name to match your Discord name. This will save me much confusion.

Homebrew rules
TOMES - Initial Reading (hours) = Weeks x 10 / Language Skill Rank - Full Reading (hours) = Weeks x 100 / Language skill The player simply keeps track of the number of hours of study. SPELLS - If the character has been able to fully study the tome he has access to the spells without any further rolling or time required.
