About the adventure
When the local river started making everyone sick, people learned to purify it. Then the fish started making people sick, and the people of Duchy Silvoth lost their livelihood. This has finally brought the issue to the wealthy’s attention, and you are on the front lines. What to expect: -- Journey upriver and discover the source of the illness -- Expansive and detailed homebrew setting -- Exploration focused, with a background of complex politics -- Story tailored to your character and interests -- Welcoming and supportive DM The game system is D&D 5e. We will use 2014 rules, with the addition of weapon masteries. Half-casters (ranger, paladin, etc.) will start with one weapon mastery and martial classes (fighter, barbarian, etc.) will start with two. If you feel strongly about using a 2024 class ability or spell, I’m open to discuss it.

About me
I’ve been playing D&D 5e for eight years and DMing long-term campaigns for six. Since my very first game, I’ve been building an original fantasy world — one filled with rich lore, political intrigue, and mysteries for players to uncover. I enjoy D&D the most when I have engaged players who care about the story we’re creating together. I make sure every character has meaningful ties to the world and that their choices drive the narrative forward. Whether you’re exploring ancient ruins, negotiating with rival factions, or uncovering the truth behind a centuries-old conflict, my games emphasize player agency, emotional investment, and collaborative storytelling. I welcome players of all experience levels, especially those who are excited about storytelling and world lore. All adventures are tailored to your party, featuring shared D&D Beyond content and custom virtual maps. I’m confident in the rules, creative with homebrew, and committed to ensuring that every session feels personal, immersive, and fun.

Creating your character
Level 4 characters. Each player will get a free one-on-on call with me (the DM) to work on your character and their backstory. I am happy to help if you've never made a character before. We will also have a free session 0 with all players where we will discuss the campaign and set up relationships between the characters. When you are creating your character, please use the following guidelines: -- Level 4, 2014 rules -- Ability scores: Please use either (9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 15) or (7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18) -- Make your character in D&D beyond (content from PHB, Tasha's, and Xanthar's is provided by DM) -- Ask before using any non-WoTC content
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have a working computer and microphone. You should make a free account on both Discord and D&D beyond. Send a friend request to anya3322 on Discord, then I will share a D&D Beyond campaign link so you can add your character.
What Anya brings to the table
I use D&D beyond for character creation and will provide content from the 2014 Player’s Handbook, Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything, and Xanathar’s Guide to Everything. I build detailed custom maps in Dungeon Alchemist to help every encounter come alive. I import the maps to D&D beyond for easy and intuitive use.
Homebrew rules
We will discuss possible homebrew in a session 0, but here are a few rules that I personally like playing with: -- Drinking a potion is a bonus action, feeding one to someone else is an action. -- The range of Locate Object (and some similar spells) increases by 1,000 feet for each additional spell level. -- Each character gets 1-2 experiences (modeled after Daggerheart)

How Anya creates a safe table
When you first sign up for the adventure, I will share a google form asking about your preferred game style and comfortability. I will use that information to lead a free session 0 where we agree on lines (topics that will not appear in game) and veils (topics/situations that can happen with caution or off-screen). In addition, players are welcome to step away or call for a break at any time during the campaign. I keep my messages open both during and after the session and will respond quickly and discreetly. I am here to provide the best possible experience, and will do my best to support and understand everyone’s limits.
