About the adventure

The desert sands of Egypt are stained with more than mortal blood, they carry the weight of centuries of Kindred dominion. You are no fledgling caught in history’s tide, but an Elder, a creature of ancient power whose will shapes dynasties and whose whispers move armies. The Pharaoh’s decrees, the Hebrew cries for freedom, the shrines of Set, all bend beneath the influence of Cainites who have ruled in shadow for generations. Yet now a force beyond even your grasp stirs. The Nile runs red, locusts devour the land, and darkness falls at noon. Whether these plagues are the hand of God, the schemes of rivals, or omens of Gehenna itself, they threaten not only mortal kingdoms but the dominion of the Damned. This chronicle does not cast you as a pawn of history, it sets you as one of its architects. You have resources, retainers, cults, and bloodlines cultivated across centuries, yet all of them are imperiled by famine, disease, and rebellion. Feeding grows dangerous as mortals weaken, Herds collapse, and your influence wanes in a land that no longer fears Pharaoh’s crown or your cold command. Rival Elders turn disasters into weapons, manipulating plagues to unseat one another, while Setite priests, Ventrue viziers, Cappadocian scholars, and foreign Banu Haqim all vie for control over the empire’s dying breath. But the plagues are not mere mortal calamities. They cut through your arrogance, testing the strength of Disciplines against divine wrath. Your centuries of power mean nothing if the very heavens decree Egypt’s fall. Do you stand with Pharaoh to preserve the dynasty you have helped build, throw your weight behind the Hebrews’ whispered exodus, or carve your own empire from the chaos of gods and mortals alike? Every decision you make reshapes history, for you are not witnesses to the end of an age, you are the ones who decide what rises in its place. This Elder-focused chronicle challenges you to wield vast influence and ancient power while confronting a force older than Cain himself. The desert offers no mercy, the plagues consume high and low alike, and even the immortal must reckon with a judgment they cannot command. Will you endure as a god-king, vanish into legend as a forgotten demon, or be remembered only as another shadow drowned in the wrath of a God that even Elders cannot defy?

About me

Welcome, storytellers, schemers, and seekers of strange worlds! I’m a GM with 7+ years of experience crafting immersive, character-driven stories across a wide variety of systems and settings. Whether you’re here for grimdark horror, noir intrigue, cosmic dread, or a chaotic romp through a world of wild adventure, I’ve got you covered. My greatest joy as a Game Master is creating a space where players feel empowered to shape the world and make bold, unforgettable choices. I’m deeply familiar with the World of Darkness in all its beautiful, brooding glory: Vampire, Mage, Hunter, Demon, Mummy, and more. From twisted political games in the night-haunted cities to the haunting path of the Fallen, I know the splats, the lore, and the mechanics inside and out. But that’s just the beginning. I also run: • Dungeons & Dragons (5e & 3.5) • Pathfinder (1e & 2e) • Mutants & Masterminds • Masks: A New Generation • Blades in the Dark • Call of Cthulhu • …and a wide range of other indie and mainstream systems. If you’re curious about a system not listed, just ask. Odds are, I’ve played it, run it, or I’m game to dive in and make it happen. Tone-wise, I have a strong love for dark, moody, and atmospheric stories, gothic horror, grim futures, supernatural conspiracies, but I’m just as comfortable with light-hearted adventures, heists, pulp action, or comedic fantasy. I’m flexible and love collaborating with players to hit the tone you want. Mechanically, I believe in the Rule of Cool. If the dice are grinding momentum to a halt, I’ll bend things to keep the story flowing. That said, I respect the system and know when to let mechanics shine. I’m patient, open to questions, and always happy to guide newer players or offer narrative tools to veterans looking to go deeper. My tables are collaborative, inclusive, and story-first. I’m big on session zero, safety tools, and making sure everyone’s voice matters, whether you’re a first-time player or a decades-long veteran. So if you’re looking for a GM who can: • Weave intricate plots with high stakes and rich lore • Pivot seamlessly between horror, humor, and heroism • Support your character’s personal journey while keeping the table engaged • And offer a professional, reliable, and player-focused experience. Then let’s tell a damn good story together.

Character creation

Creating your character

You will be building Elders of the Blood, 6th to 11th generation Cainites who have ruled, endured, and plotted across centuries. Choose a clan that reflects how you shape Egypt’s fate. The Setites entwine themselves with Pharaoh’s cult and whisper that the plagues are proof of Set’s rise. The Ventrue anchor dynasties, ensuring Pharaoh’s line bends to their will. The Cappadocians dissect death and divine omen, seeking forbidden truths in the ruin. The Banu Haqim stand as ancient judges from beyond the sands, weighing Egypt’s worth. Brujah, Toreador, Lasombra, and wandering ancients bring outside visions to a land in collapse. Your mortal origins still matter, whether you were nobility, priest, slave, or foreigner, your past shapes who you side with now. Your backgrounds and domains should reflect your station: retainers, cults, vast herds, and wealth that bind you to Egypt. But remember, the plagues threaten all of this. Herds die, resources rot, allies rebel, and dynasties crumble. Humanity and virtue will be tested: do you see mortals as victims, as tools, or as sacrifices to preserve your eternity? Your ambitions must be great, whether to endure as a god-king, liberate the oppressed, or transcend into something beyond Cainite politics.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To play, you’ll need Roll20 for sheets, dice, and maps, and Discord with a working microphone for communication and roleplay. Test your setup before session one so we can focus on story.

What Silas the Endless brings to the table

I will provide a rich and immersive setting that brings Egypt during the plagues to life, blending the politics of Pharaoh’s court, the struggles of the Hebrew people, and the intrigues of the Kindred. You’ll have access to maps, handouts, and detailed notes through Roll20 to help visualize the world, as well as organized channels on Discord for communication and roleplay outside of sessions. I’ll guide the story with flexibility, ensuring your choices shape the direction of the chronicle while weaving in horror, faith, and power struggles. I’ll also bring safety tools into play, so the darker themes remain engaging without crossing boundaries. Most importantly, I’ll provide a space where your characters matter, your voices are heard, and the story we create together feels alive, dangerous, and unforgettable.

Safety

How Silas the Endless creates a safe table

We will use a Session Zero to establish boundaries and tone. Lines and Veils will ensure darker themes are handled with care. An Open Door Policy means you can always step away if needed, and regular breaks will give everyone space to breathe. The aim is to explore heavy themes, plagues, death, slavery, divine horror, while keeping everyone safe and comfortable.
