About the adventure

in a quaint, small, socialist town hidden away from the world, our adventures wake to find themselves Missing their memories of the last few nights. Becoming socially trapped within the confines of a small town surrounded on all sides with thick forest- with no end in sight. a river flows through the middle of the town, spliting the north side from the south. Above the river lies relaxation, religion, and quiet luxury. below the river is the main bulk of the town. Mostle neighborhoods, people grow their herbs in their gardens and recieve their produce from he garden road, which connects the travelers inn to the rest of the town. The garden is quiet, and so is the forest. The people say little negatives, Leader Dorsan and his second in command, Sapphira, are the head of the New Citizen Rehabilitation Crew, taking new lost folk under their wing to show them the ropes of the town and how to contribute. But how did we get here? who, or what, put us here? Is there any way to get back where we came from? Closed sandbox, roleplay forward

About me

Hi! I've been playing tabletop games for 4 years. I've ran and completed Multiple long form campaigns, through home games and also through Tulsa's Equality Center TTRPG group. I am at a table at least once a week, and am constantly doing prep work to make sure what my players May encounter is solid. love a game with stakes, but sometimes it's nice to have a beach episode or apply looney toon physics for a day. keyword skills I have are: time management, encounter design, storytelling, DJing, inter-personal conflict resolution. Player reviews: " (Kale) does a great job at noticing small details and making sure they get incorporated into story plots- things i would have forgotten about magically becoming important is so cool!" "Kale is my favorite GM! They are able to let the players play the game they want to play while keeping the story moving- without it feeling forced. Their knowledge helps me navigate the rules so i can execute what i envision my character doing. Kale is always focused on finding out what the player is looking to get out of the game, and somehow manages to roll it into a story. They put so much time and care into preparing each sessions and it's easy to get pulled into their world!"

What Kale brings to the table

Musical score, Visual references, maps and map tokens for online play, a great story!

Homebrew rules

Rolls aren't just about meeting a number minimum. if a player rolls a number with a difference equal to or greater than 5 of the target DC, additional conflicts occur- positive or negative. Critical rolls do not always mean a critical win or fail. i will roll a die, calling the roll a "consecutive roll", which will tell me how good or bad a crit will actually affect a player. for instance, a Nat 1 with a consecutive roll of 18 will still be a failure, but the consequences will be little to none. a Nat 20 with a consecutive roll of a 2 could mean the action happens flawlessly, but with unforeseen consequences. reactions are open and variable, if you think your character would react to something in combat a certain way but there isn't a Written reaction in the rules for it, bring it up anyways and it might still be allowed. no encumbrance rules, no money rules. spells and supplements from unearthed arcana or WOTC approved third parties are allowed with notice, if a spell from a supplement has been rewritten in DND2024, that is the text that we will be using.

Safety

How Kale creates a safe table

There will be a form-fillable page to outline veils and lines for content, as well as a debriefing during session 0 for what to expect so we can hash out most things before the game starts. Buddy up, If anything happens mid game that would not allow you to finish the session, have your (secret to me) buddy cut me off and make me pivot. afterwards, either you or your buddy can come to me and we can discuss moving forward!
