About the adventure

Lighthearted romp through a carnival, on an island of pure entertainment and fun. You can expect mini games, fun npc’s, and an explosive initiative scene to bolster the fun. You can totally ignore the underlying problems plaguing the city just like the other partygoers, or delve into the corruption yourself if you’d like. Roll some dice, take some challenges, meet some fae, and eat some funnel cake here- at the Witchlight carnival!

About me

Hi! I've been playing tabletop games for 4 years. I've ran and completed Multiple long form campaigns, through home games and also through Tulsa's Equality Center TTRPG group. I am at a table at least once a week, and am constantly doing prep work to make sure what my players May encounter is solid. love a game with stakes, but sometimes it's nice to have a beach episode or apply looney toon physics for a day. keyword skills I have are: time management, encounter design, storytelling, DJing, inter-personal conflict resolution. Player reviews: " (Kale) does a great job at noticing small details and making sure they get incorporated into story plots- things i would have forgotten about magically becoming important is so cool!" "Kale is my favorite GM! They are able to let the players play the game they want to play while keeping the story moving- without it feeling forced. Their knowledge helps me navigate the rules so i can execute what i envision my character doing. Kale is always focused on finding out what the player is looking to get out of the game, and somehow manages to roll it into a story. They put so much time and care into preparing each sessions and it's easy to get pulled into their world!"

Character creation

Creating your character

Players will create characters to bring to the session, but must be sent to and approved by the Dungeon Mater prior. Funny/Gag characters are welcome for this.

The current party

Fun and whimsical characters recommended! No other constraints. Level 4, dnd2024 preferred but not required for character building- any species is fine.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Discord and roll20 are the basis of operation for this game

What Kale brings to the table

Ambient music, maps, visual references, and crunchy but punchy combat will be provided in troves. R.A.W comes first, but rules aren’t physics. This game will be a fun, humorous silly time with some random realism interjected for laughs or gut-punching moments.

Homebrew rules

We will be using 5e 2024, but any spell from 5e is fine. All official species allowed besides ones from spelljammer.

Safety

How Kale creates a safe table

I will be sending everyone a consent sheet to fill out and return, as well as an open door policy for any interaction to be discussed after sessions. If it becomes too much in session, you may also stop me then- or have someone else do so.
