About the adventure
Intro to Pathfinder 2e, the original Rise of the Runelords will be fully converted to 2e with small tweaks to some story elements to allow more character options. The Campaign story will also be tweaked and rewritten with character backstory in mind so the more backstory your character has the more reactivity the campaign will have! The Game will be played in Foundry so you can have absolutely no experience with the system or platform just tell me what you want your character to do and I will tell you what to roll!

About me
Hi, my name is Aaron and I live in Portland, OR with my wife and dog. I studied creative writing in college, and am currently self-employed as a writer/freelance game designer. I started playing tabletop games after playing Baldur's Gate when I was 14. I started with 3e but have since branched off into more and more systems. I have run several campaigns in dnd, pathfinder, shadowrun, coriolis, myz, starfinder, numenera, really I feel like I've ran almost everything! As for my GM style I like to integrate player character stories into the narrative so the more info I get the more of that I can do! When I run published adventures this usually entails a bit of rewriting and shifting things around so it helps if players make a character they can feel invested in. I foster a more serious grounded tone in my games so I'm not the best fit for a chaos-goblin style campaign. As far as rulings go I do my best to know pretty much all the rules of any game I'm playing but if there are any issues I will make a snap judgement to keep the action moving, then research later. To support this when I run a game my word is final on any rules. That said, I like to improvise character stuff during play for the PCs and the PLAYER always has final say over this, as an example if you indicated you wanted to find your lost brother and during a game I reveal that one of the bad guys is actually your brother, you are in the clear to say "no I don't like that."

Creating your character
We will be using the standard character creation rules in 2e. I can help build your character off of a concept if you are new or overwhelmed with character creation! Common options only unless you have a feature that unlocks an option of a higher rarity.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need to join my Discord server for voice, I will send links to the foundry game I recommend using Chrome or Firefox, but I believe that it works with edge and opera (with hardware acceleration).
What Aaron Fair brings to the table
I will provide tactical combat, a LOT of campaign reactivity as I essentially rewrite much of the story to help tie it to your characters. I stick to rules as written except where it slows down gameplay. There will be full maps for every location and many 'side quests' that are made for your party!
