About the adventure

This game will be a perfect start for people that want to get into Call of Cthulhu and hopefully later on continue playing throu a series of modules. If you want to unravel the unknown and face the horrors of the universe join in for some fun investigate roleplay. At my table I like to play a lot of premade moduels and from time to time throw in a homemade one, all weaved together to form a larger narrative, and who knows maybe even delve into the larger campaigns for Call of Cthulhu, if your investigator survive and stay sane long enough.

About me

Hello, my name is Johan, but when I'm behind the keeper screen I'm Lester Goodman. I have been running Call of Cthuhlu weekly for about four years now. Before that I had been runing a variety of games like pathfinder, shadowrun, drakar&demoner and runequest. My games are mainly focused on the investigation and mystery, but it can become a bit spooky from time to time. I mainly run prewritten scenarios over at roll 20 that I try to weave into a larger narrative.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will take place when we do the session zero, so we all get to known the party and have a fun group dynamic. No books are needed but the Call of Cthulhu investigator handbook is a nice addition to have.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

I will provide a Discord sever for the group where we all can talk and then we will use Roll 20 to play on. So have accsess to a Discord account and a Roll 20 account and you have everything you will need.

What Lester brings to the table

What I hope to provide is a nice and fun mystery horror game with main focus on the mystery. Combat can and will happened but it will be short, intense and deadly where your brain is your most important weapon for the more deadly encoutners. I try to run it with the rule of cool in mind and the few times I say no I will try to find a middle ground to your ideas so it's still decently cool : ) I will bring some ambient music if that is wanted as well.

Homebrew rules

I have two house rules, one is tied to character creation and will be a group decision on session zero if we want to use it and the other one is tied to money. Unless you all want to be strict about it, as long as the spending make sense we don't keep track of it unless its a plot point, like stranded in Germany with zero Deutsche Mark in your pockets.

Safety

How Lester creates a safe table

I will have a session zero where we will go over what we want and don't want in our game. And if something slips your mind just dm me or talk to me after the game and I will cource correct the game. I don't tend to describe or play out the horror that intensly so hopefully it won't be to much for people. But we are all different so I will do what I can to keep the game a fun and pleasant place to experience the horror of Lovecrafts world. And if there is other tools you want to use just bring it up with me and I will implement them as well.
